Vinegar and strawberries become best friends in this flavorful infusion.

Ingredients

pound strawberries, hulled, quartered

1

cup white wine vinegar

½

cup unseasoned rice vinegar

¼

cup sugar

Special Equipment:

sheets of cheesecloth or a coffee filter

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Combine strawberries, white wine vinegar, rice vinegar, and sugar in a large glass jar. Cover and chill at least 24 hours and up to 48 hours.

    Step 2

    Strain mixture through a sieve lined with cheesecloth or a coffee filter into a clean glass jar or other airtight container. Cover and chill.

    Step 3

    Do Ahead: Strawberry vinegar can be made 3 months ahead. Keep chilled.
