First diesel-electric Numarine to make world debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2024

Turkish shipyard Numarine has announced that the first hull in its 30XP series will make her world debut at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival. The 30.7-metre explorer was unveiled during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022 as the first Numarine yacht to be fitted with hybrid propulsion.

While the 30XP has been designed inside and out by Can Yalman, an alternative version of the interiors has been created in collaboration with Istanbul-based Ofist Design Studio.

"We were inspired by a sustainable, Scandinavian design aesthetic which prioritises simplicity, minimalism and functionality," explained Numarine founder and chairman Ömer Malaz. "We want to offer the feeling of being at home even when you are far out at sea."

Accommodation is for up to 10 guests across five en suite cabins, comprising four guest cabins on the lower deck and a master cabin on the main deck forward. The master cabin features floor-to-ceiling windows and bulwark cutouts to capitalise on sea views, as well as an optional fold-out balcony and office space with a study desk. There is further space for five crew.

Five units of the 30XP have already been sold

Elsewhere, the yacht offers plenty of scope for customisation with options for an open-air dining area on the main deck aft and a covered sundeck.

The motor yacht has a beach club with generous headroom, achieved by raising the deck above which then becomes a lounging area. Three fold-down balconies promote a continuous connection to the water and create a complete space of 43 square metres. A side-loading tender bay can also house a tender of 6.25 metres.

The 30XP's maximum speed is 13 knots, with a range of 3,000 nautical miles when pared back to 11 knots.

Including a proposed 55XP flagship, the 30XP brings the shipyard's range up to seven models. Numarine is looking to increase production with a new waterside facility that’s due for completion in a few years’ time.

In recent news, Numarine turned the hull on its flagship explorer model, the 40MXP. The 39-metre model is characterised by her extended aft deck and glass-fronted dip pool.
