Your morning news roundup for "Super" Tuesday, February 5th, 2008:

More TTC woes? After yesterday's derailment, Kennedy Station is still out of commission, and now problems on the King Streetcar is making it even more difficult to make in to work on time this morning.

If you do end up driving to work, make sure you're not working while driving. A man charged with impaired driving a few years ago is now arguing in court that he should be let off because he wasn't drunk or on drugs, but instead using his Blackberry on the road. How is that a solid defense?

While Americans today are voting in primaries and caucuses as part of the first step to elect a new President, our first Prime Minister is getting some news coverage as well: an eBay auction for a card bearing an unverified signature of John A. Macdonald has already hit bids of over $3,500.

It's not only Johnny A's signature that is fetching a high price. The city just announced a 34 per cent increase to fees for the use of city-owned soccer fields, community pools and ice rinks. Funny, you'd think they'd drop the fees to keep kids off the streets and out of trouble instead of doing just the opposite.

And hey, if watching innumerable hours of Super Tuesday coverage on CNN isn't your thing, you can always tune into the Juno nominations announcement, happening live right now as you're reading this.
