Morning Brew: February 23rd, 2007

Your morning news roundup for Friday February 23rd, 2007:

The White House has decided to cut Canadian kids a little slack
; those who're 15 and under will only need a valid birth certificate when crossing the border with their families, and kids 18 and under in religious schools traveling with their class won't need a passport either. The lenience only applies to non-air travel. Meanwhile, Ontario hopes a fancy 3D-ish Star Trekkian holographic license will be enough to satiate the border patrol.

Anyone who murders swans deserves the frackin' death penalty in my eyes. I fell in love with these things years ago, so you mess with them, you mess with me and a rusty shiv.

How sweet; you become the twelfth column. And even though the city backs the public art project, they won't help fund it. Show us some columns some love Miller!

Heavy Metal Tuna was brought up a few days ago in a previous Morning Brew, and now the CBC has a nifty Google map to show just how close different cans bring you to becoming the next Silver Surfer. Who wants it in our Google Maps Mashup Compendium?

And Justin Trudeau wants the chance to not even come close to living up to his heritage. At least he's not as creepy lookin' as our current PM...
