Man in his 50s found dead in outhouse in Ribbleton

A man in his 50s has been found dead in Ribbleton.

Emergency services closed part of Watling Street Road, near to Cromwell Road, during Tuesday (2 July) around 8.30pm.

A Preston Police spokesperson confirmed to Blog Preston emergency services attended and found the body a man, in his 50s, in an outhouse at the property in Ribbleton.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene as a fire was found at the address and a joint investigation with the fire service and police is ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: “He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts are very much with his family and loved ones at this distressing time.”

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said three crews attended but no equipment was used.
