The Story So Far & Slash Dominate Rock Albums Charts

The Story So Far scores its first No. 1 on Top Rock Albums & Alternative Albums, while Slash rules Hard Rock Albums for the fourth time.

The Story So Far notches its first No. 1 on both Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts (dated Oct. 6), while Slash scores his fourth leader on the Hard Rock Albums chart.

Proper Dose, The Story So Far’s fourth studio LP, rules Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums with 24,000 equivalent album units earned, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 20,000 copies were tallied via traditional album sales.

The album’s overall unit count is the band’s best, exceeding the 23,000-unit total of 2015’s self-titled release.

Dose also tops The Story So Far (No. 5) for the act’s best rank on Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums.

On the all-format Billboard 200, Dose bows at No. 19, marking the band’s first top 20 title.

Meanwhile, Slash starts at No. 1 on Hard Rock Albums with Living the Dream, the guitarist’s third studio album to feature Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The set premieres with 20,000 units (19,000 in sales).
