The Los Angeles Attorney’s Office officially filed charges against Mac Miller for DUI, stemming from his frightening car accident in the San Fernando Valley area during May of this year, according to an Aug. 21 TMZ report.
The Swimming rapper has reportedly been hit with two counts of DUI, with one for driving under the influence and another for operating a vehicle with a BAC above 0.08, but has avoided the hit-and-run charge he was originally booked for when arrested back on May 17. Law enforcement arrived at the 26-year-old’s residence hours after discovering his abandoned 2016 G-Wagon smashed up against an electrical pole.
Miller admitted to being behind the wheel at the time of the crash with two others in the luxury vehicle, who all escaped relatively unscathed. He still blew nearly two times the legal limit when breathalyzed by police following his arrest. The Pittsburgh native posted $15,000 and was released hours later during the morning of May 17.
