Founded in 1922, family-owned Swiss fashion house Akris got its start making polka dot aprons designed by Alice Kriemler-Schoch, and it was for her that the company was named. A little over 20 years later, the brand had grown significantly, beginning to offer ready-to-wear designs under the watch of Max Kriemler. In the late 1980s, his son Albert Kriemler entered the family business at the young age of 19, turning Akris into the brand we know today.
