Henley volunteers save thousands of toads from busy road

A group of volunteers helped more than 5,000 toads cross a busy road last year.

Henley Toad Patrol, which is celebrating its 25th year, assists the amphibians each migration season so they can safely navigate the A4155 Henley to Marlow Road.

They put the toads waiting at a temporary barrier into buckets and then carry them across so they can be carefully placed into a large nearby pond.
