Complications caused by Hurricane Beryl canceled or delayed dozens of flights arriving at and leaving Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Monday afternoon.

According to FlightAware, 34 flights were canceled and 165 were delayed at the Phoenix airport.

Nearly half of the canceled flights were from Houston, out of the Houston Bush International Airport or the William P. Hobby Airport.

Southwest Airlines flights made up a majority of the altered flights, with 15 cancellations and 75 delays.

The airline referred customers affected by the changes to their travel advisory at Southwest.com, spokesperson Dan Landson said, and encouraged fliers to check their flight status for updates.

The Category 1 storm Hurricane Beryl left at least one person dead and more than 2 million people without power in eastern Texas as of Monday.

The tropical storm was expected to travel upward through the Midwest during the week and transition into a tropical depression heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
