Jose covers various sports for the Republic, including baseball, football, boxing, soccer and MMA. Formerly a freelancer with Associated Press and former adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University. Spent almost 11 years as a sports reporter for the Seattle Times, including seven seasons covering the Seattle Seahawks and one as Seattle Sounders writer. Also worked all over the Pacific Northwest in Oregon and Washington. Native of Oregon and University of Oregon graduate.
