Robert (Bob) Lee Massengill Jr., 72, of Carefree Arizona passed away on July 3rd, 2024. He was born August 27th, 1951, in California, but lived most of his young life in New Mexico. Bob moved to Phoenix Arizona in the mid-70s and worked as a Archietect. Bob spent the majority of his career designing both residential and commercial buildings. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, horseback riding, car/motorcycle racing, and researching his families' genealogy. Bob was a cowboy, but also loved classic cars and Rock n Roll music. However, his favorite past time was being with his friends and family. For all the people that knew Bob the best, he was masterful with a joke or funny story that could brighten up a room with laughter. Bob was proceeded in death by his father Robert Sr. and is survived by his wife Carol and his stepson, John. Bob is also survived by his loving family in New Mexico - his mother, Peggie, his brother John, his sister Suzie, his niece Lauren, and nephews Chase and David. A celebration of life will be held in New Mexico in the Fall for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley or Foothills Caring Corps.
