Astor Stave passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Friday, June 28, 2024, surrounded by his family, including his five children: Susan Lynn, Carol Elizabeth, Robert Astor, Sharon Lisa, and Michael Scott.

Born on March 16, 1936, in Lista, on the southern tip of Norway, Astor immigrated to the United States at the age of 16. He began his career as a carpenter in New York, quickly rising to become a foreman and superintendent by his early 20s. In 1958, he started his own carpentry contracting business, marking the beginning of a successful entrepreneurial journey.

In 1957, Astor married Sonja, his beloved wife of 66 years. Together, they built a family, keeping Jesus at the center of their home. In 1973, Astor and his family moved to Arizona, where he founded Crown Builders, a commercial contracting company specializing in senior living properties. In 2011, Astor established Crown Custom Millwork, a cabinet company born from his passion for woodworking. This venture reflected Astor's entrepreneurial spirit, creative mind, problem-solving nature, and his strong work ethic and integrity.

A devoted Christian, Astor lived out his faith in both his personal and professional life. He was known for his immense generosity, supporting and serving on the boards of various Christian ministries and organizations.

Astor is survived by his wife, five children, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his sister. All who met Astor immediately recognized the importance of faith and family in his life. He was deeply proud of his family and prayed daily for their guidance and closeness to God.

Throughout his life, Astor was inspired by his favorite Bible verse, Psalm 27:1: "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
