Don’t Live Your Parents Life

Who’s life are you living? Who’s life have you fell into? Are you living your fathers or mothers dreams? No one tells us growing up that we have a choice and we don’t have to follow the set path that has been laid out in front of us. Let me be the first to tell you, you do have a choice in how you want to live your life, and it is all up to you how you live.

Your parents will direct you to follow a certain path that they see best will help you succeed based on monetary success, but not on living an authentic life to who you want to be. Many people are living out their parent’s dreams of what they wanted to accomplish but never had the courage to do or never made an effort to because they were too busy making excuses. It is wise to listen to your parent’s advice attentively, but do not make the mistake of living your life based on how someone else thinks your life should be because they will limit your life most probably, as most people have limited vision and some parents tend to impose their limitations upon their children which confine’s their mind and ultimately their life.

Take the best advice from your parents, but always be true to yourself and who you want to be. Never let anyone dictate how your life should be. That will be a terrible mistake if you live your life based on how someone else wants you to live it, in a limited fashion, in an average state, and resigning yourself to mediocrity.

Many parents do not know the power that their words can have upon their children, they tell them to take the safe route, and the one that the majority take in living a so-called normal life. Parents have a responsibility to instill within their children the confidence, belief, hunger, desire, courage, fearlessness, and drive to make their dreams a reality. Too many people are living like cowards, never doing what they truly want to do in life because they are afraid of the outcome. Let me tell you something, if you don’t try you are a failure, there is nothing wrong in trying and failing, even in great attempts it is glorious to fail. Are you going to be one of those people who never takes a chance on themselves because you were too busy engaging in meaningless activities that confined your life to mediocrity.

The life that you are living, is this the life that you want to live for the next 20 years? Do you hear a resounding no from the billions of people living the 9-5 life. Who wants to live the 9-5 slave life that our parents encourage us to pursue, not aware that we are capable of accomplishing more. You have a duty upon yourself to do more with your life, too many people settle for nothing, people who have an opportunity to make something of themselves don’t take the chance they have, they just do the same things the unsuccessful people do and then they wonder why they are broke and struggling, living paycheck to paycheck confined to an average existence and living in a state of delusional conformity.

Forget the limits that your parents tell you about, there are no damn limits out here to those who set no limits on their life. Get up and create the life of your dreams. Stop betraying yourself and awaken to your true potential so that you can live with a sense of integrity based upon your deepest beliefs of how you want your life to be. The majority did not plan their life out from an early age so they just accept the life that they have stumbled into. Do not live someone else’s life, it is a crime against yourself. So let these words inspire within you the belief that you have what it takes to take your life to the heights of greatness, you are born with unique gifts and talents with which can make the world a better place. Greatness is something that resides within each and every one of us, so bring forth your greatness and live life to the limits and live it own your terms.
