Sal: Aaron Boone furthest thing from Yankees biggest problems

BT is calling out Aaron Boone for the Yankees’ current struggles, but Sal doesn’t know what the manager can do when he is being given a faulty roster that simply doesn’t have the necessary pieces to be a winner.

“This is not on him. The team stinks,” Sal said. “They didn’t do enough in the offseason to fix deep-rooted issues.

“They thought they were gonna patch it with Juan Soto...the Yankees weren’t a very good team last year. Judge and Soto have been heathy, Judge is having a historic year, and they still stink.”

Sal declared that the Mets seemed to have a better offseason than the yanks before the season began, and now that the Yanks have cooled off drastically, he says Brian Cashman’s lack of moves is showing itself, and that can’t be placed at the feet of Boone.

“The infield is no good, catching is atrocious,” Sal said. “The injuries continue to mount up. Starting pitching is no good, bullpen no good. Is there anything else?

“The furthest thing from the top of the list of blame or reasons why the Yankees have been as bad as they’ve been is the manager…I just don’t think this is Aaron Boone’s fault. They’re a disaster! They’re a mess! This has nothing to do with the manager!”
