Evan calls out 'freaking haters' panicking over Aaron Rodgers minicamp absence

Aaron Rodgers is an unexcused absence from Jets mandatory minicamp, as he told Robert Saleh that he was attending an event that was “important to him.”

The news had some Jets fans frustrated that the most important player isn’t present for the first mandatory practice of the year, but Evan says anyone panicking is misguided.

“Aaron Rodgers has been involved in non-mandatory things,” Evan said. “I was surprised Aaron wasn’t there, but I also knew that my calmness would not be reflected by my city, by my fellow Jets fans, and by some people with marshmallow heads that hate the Jets.

“This is not a big deal. Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback of this team. He is committed to this team. This is not a ‘same old Jets’ scenario. Anyone screaming and yelling that is just crazy, maybe scarred from being a Jets fan, or is a freaking hater and is suffering from Rodgers derangement syndrome.”

Evan, convinced that Rodgers’ absence is a nothingburger, took one of the Jets quarterback’s most famous quotes to assure Jets fans that everything is fine, and this is not an opportunity to rip the Jets.

“Let’s all R-E-L-A-X,” Evan said.
