BT: How can Jets be trusted to be successful if they can't handle 'most basic stuff'?

As reports emerge of Aaron Rodgers’ trip to Egypt being the reason behind his mandatory minicamp absence, BT says the Jets culture and leadership continues to be a reason why it’s hard to buy into the upcoming season, even as the roster is stacked with talent.

“If you can’t trust the Jets with the most basic stuff, how can we expect them to have a successful season?” BT said. “Jets have a top five, six, or seven roster in all of football…the Jets roster is pretty sick. They have a Hall of Fame quarterback, and are the beneficiaries of a decaying division…there’s so many things that have lined up for the Jets, yet I still don’t have an ounce of faith that this will go smoothly. Do you?”

BT was critical of Rodgers skipping minicamp, but the frustration was much more rooted in how the situation was handled by Robert Saleh and company, which he says was yet another example that Saleh doesn’t inspire much hope in being the right man for the job as Gang Green enters a crucial season.

“The response, even more than his absence, was to me a foreshadow of what plagues this franchise,” BT said. “Not that he wasn’t there…it was the way he was presented.”
