The Atlantic Council established the Transatlantic Digital Marketplace Initiative (TDMI) in 2015 with the goal of fostering greater US-EU understanding and cooperation on digital matters. Today, the Initiative promotes collaboration among US and EU policymakers and stakeholders on digital issues and their implications for transatlantic allies’ national security, geopolitical interests, and economic resilience and competitiveness.

The Initiative facilitates greater US-EU dialogue on today’s most crucial transatlantic digital affairs through reports, convenings with US and European officials and leading experts, and unique simulations designed to introduce national security experts to the importance—and challenges—of digitalization.
