The Group of Twenty (G20), comprising the world’s largest advanced and emerging economies and representing over 85 percent of global output, addresses shared economic challenges. Bolstered with the addition of the African Union in 2023, the G20 will need to prove that it can continue to produce the international agreements needed to address the uncertainty and fragmentation in today’s global economy.

The Atlantic Council’s G20 programming and research emphasizes continuity in the agenda, focusing on food security, climate finance, reforming the global economic governance system, and enhancing digital public infrastructure.
