Christina Tomayo is a 2023-2024 Veterans Advanced Energy fellow at the Atlantic Council and a project manager with Grid United. The company’s mission is to modernize the US electric grid by building new long-distance transmission lines. Currently, she works on Grid United’s Three Corners Connector project, which spans three hundred miles from the Oklahoma panhandle to Pueblo, Colorado, and will provide an electrical connection between the eastern and western electric systems. Tomayo has also assisted with Grid United’s Pecos West project, which involves stakeholder relationships with the US Army base Fort Bliss.  

Tomayo is a graduate of West Point, where she was commissioned as a military police officer, and has been deployed to Iraq. She recently earned an MBA from Rice University, where she led the Cleantech Club and launched the nationwide Clean Energy Case Competition for MBA students.
