The global economy is facing a major inflection point with many countries still recovering from the pandemic, the continued challenge of climate change, and ongoing conflicts throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The G20, representing more than 85 percent of global GDP, is a critical multilateral institution designed to foster consensus between a range of major economies.
How can Brazil’s and other Global South countries’ priorities be advanced within the G20? What role should the US (as the 2026 G20 host), multilateral development banks and other international organizations play in supporting these areas? Senior policymakers and officials from Brazil, the United States, and other G20 member countries, as well as leaders from the private sector and multilateral organizations will join us for a discussion on these critical issues and outline the way forward.
