Building Community Power
Join the movement to co-create a community-designed policy that addresses Black New Orleanians’ needs for equity and liberation.
Building Community Power is a collaborative policy design series that confronts our community’s major concerns with radical imagination.
Each of these monthly two-day meetings will be held in a different New Orleans neighborhood and focus on a different issue. Every meeting is an opportunity to #PlugIntoYourPower in the fight against the state government’s efforts to repeal our rights with oppressive and racist legislation.
Ashé is a profound testament to the resistance, innovation and intrinsic power of the cultural traditions that thrive in New Orleans and have prevailed throughout the African Diaspora.
