Population Health: Engage Your Community and Supersize Your Practice

The principles of population health are a guiding framework to broaden the reach of psychology and the communities they serve. Psychologists can incorporate factors that are known to improve health outcomes and promote positive health across the entire population spectrum. This means providing effective and efficient clinical care to those with a behavioral health diagnosis, as well as maintaining or optimizing health for those who are relatively healthy. By partnering with a wide range of professionals, community members and people with lived experience, psychologists can expand their services and their impact in relation to the increasingly diverse communities they serve.
