Acerca de mí
Like it says, here’s a little about me.
Born and raised in Chicago, I am the last and strangest daughter in a tight-knit family of many experiences — we are Indigenous Mexicans from Guanajuato, of Otomi and Purépecha heritage, we share a legacy of post-colonialism, migration — and so much more.
I am a seasoned editorial leader and content strategist. Through culture-shifting journalism, I strive to create digital spaces that are more civically engaging, accessible and reflective of the real world — that serve communities I am a part of (and those I am not).
My written work explores how marginalized communities survive and thrive in the western world; the ways cultural phenomena, art and technology can impact populations in disparate ways and occasionally, I write personal essays, too.
I currently call Los Angeles home.
