5.0 out of 5 starsKiller Value for <$20 per switch

My only regret is that I didn't buy more of these while the $9 coupon was available! I'm very pleased.
Physical installation was very straightforward for me, with all the terminals and wires well-labeled to avoid confusion. Some have criticized the screw terminals, but I actually found them to make installation easier. Some other smart switches (looking at you, Lutron Caseta) have a bunch of wires coming off the back instead of terminals, which means you've got that much more to try to stuff back into your electrical box. With these switches I was able to leave the drops from the box at the appropriate length and had plenty of room to stuff things back in and install the switches. The housing also seems to be a little bit more compact than others I've tried, which makes getting everything into the box easier as well.
Little piece of advice: Complete your physical install up to putting the switches in the box, but don't put the wall plate on yet. The Matter setup codes are conveniently printed on the front of the switch, but they're completely covered when the wallplate is installed. Turn your breaker on so you can do the network setup, then you can install the wall plate.
The network setup, for me anyway, was a piece of cake. I went into the Alexa app (because these are Matter-enabled, there's no need to use the TP-Link app to set them up. The first one added right away, the second one required me to retry once, but then worked perfectly.
They've been working perfectly so far, my only gripe is that the dimmer turns off my lights before I'd like it to, but I think that's an issue with my bulbs, rather than the switch, since different LED bulbs have different thresholds for dimming. I plan to replace my current bulbs with Edison-style bulbs anyway, so I'll be sure to invest in some with higher compatibility with smart switches when I do.
All in all, I'd recommend these for anyone with matter-enabled smart assistants (which is most of the more recent ones these days). Setup was quick and painless, and even without the coupon they're less than $20 per switch, making them one of the most economical options out there that doesn't require Tuya.
