My wife saw the reviews for this shower cleaner and placed an order. Despite arriving quickly, it was a few days before it got its first use. To put it plainly: We were underwhelmed. Did it remove the dirty soap scum from the bottom of our shower-tub? We'll yes, but you really had to look to see it. To be fair, this is a brand-new cast iron Kohler, full-sized tub. It has a simple, but beautiful stark-white finish, with a good portion of the tub-bottom covered with a non-slip surface that greedily collects "everything" (you know what soap scum includes), so the bottom of our tub winds up looking dingy and dirty most of the time. I've cleaned it a number of times, bringing it back to looking new each time, but within days it starts to take on "that look." I've used the soft-scrub type cleaners, with and without bleach (the ones with bleach work the best) on 3M-type scouring pads, as well as rag towels. This works well, but my arm gets worn out and it takes a lot of time. I even bought a name-brand powered scrubber designed to do this kind of work. It uses similar scouring pad materials sized to fit its little round drive plate. This works too, but it took so long that I had to recharge it to finish the job, and my arm hurt almost as much as doing it by hand! Enter "Wet and Forget." Well, like I said, we were underwhelmed, and as I type this the tub is now sitting with its third application of Wet and Forget. I'm sure that when we run the water to rinse it down tonight the tub will look "better," but I feel confident that the result be another "close, but no cigar" outcome. Well, the bottle does give you a lot of cleaner that you can apply, and so far my arm hasn't felt tired or sore at all, but the tub still looks dirty and dingy, although now it includes clean spots where the cleaner has lifted the soil. We'll keep spraying (after all this stuff wasn't cheap and eventually it may finish the job), we just wonder if we'll need to order a second bottle to get the tub clean! I suppose if we could have ordered our tub without the safety-treads feature we wouldn't have this problem, but I don't know if you can order any tub without the safety-treads the way the safety-crazies are now. I have to admit, those treads have saved me more than once from slipping while showering, so I guess we're glad they're there. As for "Wet and Forget": We'll get back to you.
