I bought this specific version to hopefully help with post partum hair loss that will hit me soon lol but I was pleasantly surprised by how great this shampoo is. I have fine, medium density hair and this product makes it look so thick, soft and almost fluffy (in a good way)! It makes my scalp squeaky clean so you definitely need to use a conditioner to avoid tangles out of the shower, but wow does it do a great job of cleaning your hair! The scent is not overpowering and smells natural. Lathers/spreads nicely. I appreciate the clean ingredient list and will definitely purchase more of this. I think I finally found my perfect shampoo!!

It smells good, but I am unsure i I like the scent of this shampoo. It has a clean, fresh fragrance that is neither too strong nor too faint. I don't like overpowering scents, and this one doesn't linger, which is fine with me. But I am not confident if it's really 'organic'! It made my hair very rough, dry and took all the moisture. It will clear your scalp. But not for someone who is looking for a healthy/shiny look.

Hi all!! I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so about this amazing shampoo. This is the second time I have bought this, and I don't think I want to try anything else again.

The first time I bought this shampoo, I was searching for something for my thin, long hair that might help it feel fuller and healthier. My first impression was that it was very heavy on the essential oils, and thusly it took awhile for me to get used to the smell as it's pretty strongly herbal. I liked the consistency and lathering, and for me I use a pump and a half to lather up my thin, waist-length hair. I have not had any issues with lather, but I have very hard water so that may help where others have had issues.

It took me a long time to get through the first bottle, washing my hair daily, and when that was gone I was ready to try something else. I picked up a different brand from Amazon, and while using the different shampoo, I realized that this shampoo with it's extreme amount of essential oils was keeping my on again off again dandruff at bay!! My dandruff was coming back when I switched, so after using most of the new shampoo I placed an order for my second bottle of this one.

When I received the second bottle, it came packed very well, no leaking or anything, and when I pumped some product in the shower I was met by the old familiar heavy essential oil smell that I knew was going to keep my scalp and hair healthy. It was like seeing an old friend again.

I can't speak for the biotin making my hair stronger or anything like that, but it cleans well, leaves it shiny and pretty, and is an all around great shampoo. I don't want to use anything else anymore, and I will be trying the matching conditioner once I'm done with my massive sized grocery store brand.

I want to speak about those claiming chemical burns. I have NOT had this experience, but as I mentioned before, this shampoo contains heavy amounts of essential oils. If you are sensitive, I'd probably skip this one, but it works for me with no adverse effects. Even though essential oils are natural, that doesn't mean natural botanicals are without side effects.

I wish I could give this shampoo more than five stars, it will always be my favorite.

Just a guy with normal hair and can't believe I am writing a review about shampoo and conditioner. I was looking for an Organic shampoo that did not feel creamy or heavy. Not knowing what was inside the bottle for an online purchase, I ordered it. I like it is basically clear and not heavy and creamy type like so many off the shelf cheaper brands. My daughter said I needed to not use that cheap Cr*p.

One pump worth lathers well with a nice scent and rinses clean. I also got the Conditioner, and it is not a heavy creamy type either. Dissipates well onto hair and rinses clean. I like the way my hair looks and feels after drying. I just brush it wet and let dry.

Comments about the pump not coming up. Mine took a few turns before it popped up, but one bottle would not. I just took the pump out and held the base of the stem under cap then turned top. It immediately came up as otherwise the whole stem just turns so it would otherwise not release. Products are uber packaged with bottles wrapped in plastic against cardboard which were in a box themselves.

This stuff is on the high $ side but it appears you get what you pay for.

This stuff is amazing. There is something people should know before using a product like this is you may experience greasy hair. If you are use to mainstream shampoos with chemicals like sulfates, etc your hair will need time to detox. I’ve been on a No-poo journey for well over a year due to MCAS and it took a few months for my hair to adapt but it just got thinner and really was bothering me. I read that method can do that and it causes a build up in the scalp which can lead to hair loss as well as weigh hair down with natural grease that makes it look thinner. With one shampoo my hair felt so much better and actually thicker. Hair definitely didn’t grow over night but it did something to improve it. I’ve used it 4 times now and love it. Please note it may take weeks to months for your hair to adapt to a shampoo like this. I can’t wait to see if I actually get growth back as well. This was the perfect transition product for me. I found it through the EWG app as approved and was happy to see it had no allergens or chemicals of concern.

I bought this + the conditioner and the conditioner came early (the shampoo came 2 weeks after I got the conditioner. I did a separate review on the conditioner and that's why I said surprisingly good because the conditioner did not work for me, it made my hair super dry and because of that I thought the shampoo will be the same but surprisingly it's good, I like the eucalyptus/medicated scent, feels relaxing.

All retailers selling fluids on Amazon or online, look and learn! The bottle of shampoo was secured in such a way it did not rock around when I handled the box. This reduces the chance of breakage. Can't wait to use this product!

I've seen some reviews citiny rash from using this shampoo. Having used this shampoo a few times now, I was watching out for this to happen to me. Fortunately, I had no such experience. I think we have to look at this case-by-case, and not symphonic of it happening to everyone using this shampoo. So far, I've been very happy on my purchase.

I’ve gone through a fair amount of shampoos to try to get a lavender scented shampoo and normally they just sort of smell like it and then the second your hair is washed it’s gone. This one actually smells like lavender and even after your hair is washed, you can still kind of smell it, which is amazing. It also doesn’t seem to cause any excess dandruff from what I’ve noticed, but that could just be hair type in the equation.

I have been using this product for years. Leaves my hair looking great, soft and manegeable. I don't know how the shampoo would work on processed hair. I have very fine hair and this shampoo does add volume, without leaveing the hair stiff or dry. I believe most of the products from Avalon Organics that I have used (both skin care and hair) have worked as. promised--they are a good value, monetarily speaking anda since they are composed of natural ingredients, I've never had an allergic reaction
