I just loved it beyond words. It is such a feel good romance. Rosie and Ford knew each other as kids as he is her brother’s best friend. She’s always thought that all she was to Ford was his best friend’s annoying little tagalong.

Boy, was she wrong!

They also massively enjoy teasing each other, which for these two is a form of foreplay.

I loved the entire vibe and aesthetic of this book. It had some hilariously laugh out loud parts as well as some super steamy moments. 🔥 Rosie is such a fun and relatable character. I loved her snark and her feistiness, especially when it came to Ford. And there’s something about the socially awkward, dorky, but heart of gold hero that gets me every time. And Ford delivers that in spades!

This book just had such heart. 🥹

I highly recommend this love story to all romance lovers! Definitely the beginning of another solid series from this author

I started this book because of Ford’s mention in the epilogue of Beau and Bailey’s book. Had to know more about him. The characters were fantastic, the banter was great. However, I didn’t think the story picked up until the break up at the end and everything that came after. It was actually really boring until then and hard to continue. I wanted to like it and I just didn’t care for it as much as Silver’s other books.

It was disappointing because the other books are so good, this series start was just not it.

Review: I loved this books! The banter between Rosie and Ford was perfect! Especially in the emails, the banter was spot on. The character development was phenomena. I loved watching Ford and Cora’s relationship grow. I also loved watching Ford and Rosie’s relationship grow.

The spice was spicing in this book! The office scenes were 🔥! I loved all the side character! I can’t wait for Wild Eyes!

I loved each and every character in this story. Rosie was amazing. I related to her in many ways but one prominent one was being the invisible child in your family- being able to understand that really helped me understand her character and her decisions throughout the story.
Ford was the cutest “World’s Hottest Billionaire”! I loved how kind of awkward and nerdy he was. But lorddddd was he romantic and caring when it came to the people he loved. And his dry humor? It was my favorite LOL

The chemistry between Ford and Rosie was amazing. I loved their banter and sarcastic remarks between each other. They had me SO giddy- kicking my feet giddy! I just loved their relationship and how they both confused their feelings towards one another as hate, when it was far from hate! I could spot that attraction from a mile away!

I absolutely loved the twist on the single dad trope! Cora is amazing. She’s SO funny, witty, and unique. She has dealt with a lot at the young age of 12 and it just makes you want to squeeze her and tell her she’s loved! I adoreddddd the bond she had with Ford and music AND the bond she had with Rosie (the scrunchie? Omg). I think Ford and Rosie were just what that girl needed and it made my heart so happy to see the love they all grew for each other.

Overall, it was perfect to me. I cannot wait for the rest of this series!

Rosie returns to town and convinces Ford to hire her at his new recording studio. Their banter was perfect, and their relationship evolution was adorable. Despite trying to keep things professional, their connection was undeniable.

Ford’s unexpected fatherhood adds depth to the story. Rosie helps him with his daughter, Cora, and the bond they form is heartwarming. Ford’s caring nature and Rosie’s strength shine throughout the book.

The romance and spice were perfectly done. Ford’s protective, d_rty-talking had me blushing! The way he was upfront with West and how Rosie and Ford became an unstoppable team was everything.

"I already know I’m planning to tear down whatever wall I tried to build between us just to get to her. Keeping my distance is downright excruciating, and thinking I can keep up with it is borderline delusional."

I'm going to start by saying, this book was so sweet! And I honestly did enjoy it. But there are two things that stopped me from giving this 5 stars!
1. The first 30% were sooooo slow. And they almost had me wondering if I wanted to keep reading. Obviously I'm so freaken glad I did.

2. The other reason is the way Rosie handle the situation at the end of the book! I really hated the way she talked to him...

• HILARIOUS banter between MCs

I really loved both characters. Rosie was HILARIOUS. And her inner dialogue was so funny. Her comebacks had me laughing out loud so many times.

I wink at him, my head still tilted back. “With us, I think they’re the same thing.”

The banter between them was the best part of the book!!! She was constantly batting him!

"I love that Rosie Belmont is a constant challenge. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you think it’s in my thighs somewhere. Maybe I really should have helped you out all those years ago."

And the PEN SCENE!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!

"A blue X is drawn over the pristine white fabric. “X marks the spot,” I grumble, both hands holding her thighs open."

Ford was so grumpy! I fell in love with his character instantly. He was also so easy to connect with! Every confession only had me loving him more and more!

"I’m obsessed with this girl. Always have been, always will be."

Watching his relationship with Cora grow through out the book was so freaken sweet!!! The way he defended her and treated her like she was a person and not an inconvenience. I loved it so much!

"Oh god. She looks like she’s going to cry. She and Rosie are going to be the death of me.
“I’m always going to have your back, Cora. No matter what happens. With you. With your mom. You’re kind of stuck with me now. That all right with you?”

And I have to say I support his decision to see Rage Against the Machine so much! 😅 We saw them a few years ago! And it was definitely worth it.

Wild Love was such a good heart reset. I love a man who pines for a woman for decades. I love an FMC who is a little crazy and knows who she is. The two complimented each other the way only fictional characters can… and the spice was an absolutely perfect level.

This wasn’t my favorite Elsie Silver book for a couple reasons - though a four is an EXCELLENT rating still. The first reason was that there really wasn’t a lot of drama at all. It dragged a bit. Second is the billionaire trope didn’t fit quite correctly for me. It just felt forced in a strange way.

But regardless, I enjoyed the book. And she did an incredible job of setting up a series I can’t wait to read.

Rosie Belmont, fresh off a disastrous job situation, pleas with Ford to give her a job - any job. But as office banter leads to foreplay, these two battle their hearts, and each other, in their attempts to prevent crossing the line.

“All it took was one look - one heartbeat - and I was eighteen all over again.”

As it is with every start to a new series, this book is slow burn in nature and feels more character driven than later books in a series. And that’s for good reason. Having to establish a new locale, community of characters, family ties, etc. means there is more information needed. Starting a new series is often intimidating, but the author makes it easy to follow, while also laying the groundwork needed to create a blueprint the series can follow. That said, I enjoyed the heck out of this book.

Rosie and Ford are really the stars of the show here. When I think of a great romance or rom-com, I think banter. And banter there is a plenty! I absolutely loved the use of corporate emails to convey their snarkiest banter, all in proper email structure. Their juxtapositions added such depth to their story as we watched them butt heads initially, only to work it out in their messy, chaotic way that these two did best. Think Paint on Lumber (IYKYK).

Of course, I am always a sucker for a cinnamon roll hero, or better yet, a stern brunch daddy which Ford definitely is. I thought the use of the Billionaire trope, sans alpha energy, was very unique and made Ford stand out from your typical romance mmc. As for Rosie, it was hard not to be utterly charmed by her take-the-bull by the horns attitude. I loved the way these two somehow brought out the best in each other, even while bringing out the worst in each other. And the steam? Well, it’s steamy, but in a way that even those who don’t love quite as much steam can still enjoy.

This book was different from what I expected.
When I first heard this book had the single dad trope, I immediately thought about Cade in Heartless, so I thought they were going to be similar. But much to my surprise, the story took a different road, and I really liked it.

Ford wasn’t prepared to be a dad, he was no manwhore, he didn’t sleep around, only had a couple of serious relationships that didn’t work out, so, where did things go wrong for him to have a daughter?
The way that Cora came to his life was hilarious. Was it unrealistic? Totally, because this is a book, it’s fiction, so there’s zero chance that a situation like that will happen in real life, and that’s what made it more enjoyable.
And the fact that Cora searched Ford to help her mother? that girl was brave, so the way Elsie added her character to the story, that was the cherry on top.

I also enjoyed that Ford was an introvert, because as one, sometimes people feel that you’re being rude, but it’s not that, there are times that many of us introverts don’t know how to properly socialize and the situation becomes kind of awkward, so I felt that was the case with Ford.

As for Rosie, I didn’t feel a connection with her character, I felt that there was something missing there. Perhaps I was expecting her to be braver, I wanted her to burn the world after what happened in her old job, but that didn’t happen. Also, the situation with her non-ex-boyfriend, I didn’t understand why she couldn’t end the relationship if there was no love there.
Anyway, I did love her relationship with Cora, I liked how the two of them became friends, and how she encouraged Cora when she most needed it.

The love story between Ford and Rosie was also enjoyable, the slow burn was killing me, but it was totally worth it because the spicy moments between them? OMG *chef’s kiss*.

I’m absolutely waiting for the other books in the series, I was intrigued by West’s personality from the very beginning, so yeah, I’m here for it!

Oh my, my, my. Starting this off, I was so excited to read about Willa's brother. I love that all of Elsie's series kind of intertwine, even if we don't hear a bunch about the previous characters, it's a sweet kind of small world vibe.

Now on to the story - Rosie and Ford, phew. The amount of times I laughed out loud or giggled in this book is surprising, as I'm not usually one to laugh out loud while reading. I loved their playful banter, Rosie's snarky attitude, and I loved the way that Ford fought for Rosie, helping her realize what she truly deserves. Between the “That’s what showers and dark towels are for.” to the “Hear this, Rosie. You are worth every penny. Every fortune. Every investment. Every risk. You are priceless to me.” - I was swoooooooning.

And Cora? Oh. My. God. While I feel like she talked more like a 16 year old than a 12 year old, I do understand 'why'... poor kid has been through so much in her life. Also, I remember talking like that with my friends when I was 12, so I feel like it helped add to the 'friendship' vibe Ford and Cora had going, especially in the beginning. I loved not only watching their relationship grow and flourish, but also watching Rosie fall in love with Cora too.

Two things in this story that made this 4/5 stars for me instead of 5/5.. First, how Rosie reacted when she was breaking up with her soon-to-be ex.. I get she had a bit of a bratty/bitchy vibe going throughout the book, but it seemed playful for me the entire time.. this was the only time when I felt like she was truly being bitchy. You've been leading this man on, and sure, he hasn't been treating you the way you deserve but.. empathy babe :')

Second, the sexual assault and then falling for the man who just hired you and not giving a f***? I understand that you're coming to terms with the fact you've been in love with this man since you were a teen, and you don't give a flip that he is your boss.. but the lack of acknowledgement and conversation of how different the situations are, how you're fully consenting, how you want him etc.. Made the situation a little weird for me.

Overall a great read, as all Elsie Silver books are for me. I cannot waiiiiit for Wild Eyes, especially from the preview at the end. Can't wait for more of West!
