Product Description

Many people refer to all Dark Sweet cherries as “Bings”. Though it is true that a good portion of the cherry crop is the Bing variety, there are many other dark red varieties that have been developed over the years. These other varieties have been developed to mature either earlier or later than Bings and in different locations (higher in the mountains or out in the deserts, etc.) so that red sweet cherries are available for a longer period of time. Regardless of the variety, dark red sweet cherries are still the diamonds of summer.

They were plump and sweet. No bruising either. Ate them all within 2 days…love cherries, they’re just a bit expensive not on sale. Like all fruit, you never know what you’re goin to get..

The first couple of times ordering these they went quick because they were perfectly ripe and sweet but not mushy. So when we saw the sale price we decided to get some more but these were watery and not that sweet. Still crunchy and no mold that I can tell but storing some in the refrigerator just in case. In this case, there was no visible indication that they weren’t as good so no fault of the person picking the order. Maybe these are just at the end of the season.

Last year I got these cherries with a little mold in them, and it made me kind of sick to my stomach, but that hasn’t been a problem in a long time and these cherries are absolutely delicious. As with any fruit, you have to be careful of them molding, and as soon as they become ripe they should be refrigerated. These have been coming slightly underripe so I leave them on my kitchen counter for a couple of days until they ripen, and they’re absolutely delicious. What I don’t eat I refrigerate and they last for a while, absolutely great with ice cream.
