I also got a protective sleeve to help protect it and keep it scratch free. It fits in my purse and I don’t worry if it’s going to leak. At first I was upset that it wasn’t glass, but I’m kind of glad now. We all know how heavy glass can get. My purse is heavy anyway.

Pretty cool bottle. Stiff sturdy plastic. Metal lid leak proof. The only way to properly clean this bottle is to do a 10:1 bleach solution soak, then rinse. There's no way to clean it with a brush. Dishwasher would not be effective either. I would only use this bottle for clear water. No other drinks.

My only complaint is that the lid had problems and started to fall apart after about 2 years of use. I think it was because I'd put the water bottle in the dishwasher. So don't do that and you'll be okay!

The rubber inside the cap moves significantly sometimes and that is not good. Without it the container may leak (I presume). I was “influenced” when buying this water bottle, mainly because it is a different design than others! I travel a lot for work, and this week I had my first trip with the A5, and it was great! Fits in my bag, is lightweight, holds a good amount of water, and fits into the airplane seat pocket really well that it isn’t in the way of impeding any leg room! It’s a little pricey for what you get (plastic water bottle), but I think it is very worth it. Will I try it with hot liquids? Probably not. But for basic water needs, 5 stars.
