Absolutely loved this series! I couldn't get enough! The writer is able to keep you suspended in the romance, keeping it super interesting without making it a repetative "smut fest" like some writers do. It has a genuine storyline that drags you in for more! I haven't been so engulfed in a series since Twilight came out years ago. I read all 6 books in 4 days (my hubby was starting to get worried at my book binging lol) definitely a recommended read. My only disappointment is that one of the Characters needs a romance story, Jinx. I pray the Author will take the time to give her a plot line because that girl deserves a happily ever after. Don't leave us hanging...Book 7 is needed!!!

I'm on book 3 and I absolutely love this series. Sadie is so witty and insane! I love that she talks like a normal 20 year old girl. It's hilarious. I love everything about this series from the characters to the storyline. It's amazing and highly entertaining.

Overall story arc-Very interesting and had some good twists.
Character depth-good depth developed, but often contradictory, low emotional intelligence and sassy/spitfire retorts, but with little backup and follow-through.
Spice level-when spread out across all books, pretty moderate quantity, with MMFMM, MF and MM type activity

At a certain point (and I have never done this before) I started highlighting whole passages that drove me nuts, so I would remember for the review, since there were 6 books. Why did I keep reading, if I was so frustrated by it?...I think I have not finished maybe 2 books in over 30 years and by then, the overall story arc had me wanting to know how it concluded, but after reading them all, I regret the time I spent.

I was excited. Sassy female leads...sign me up. Open about their sexuality-sign me up. Alpha males-sign me up!

What I found absurd (that the author did to make the story work the way she wanted, but was an eye-rolling there is just no way this would happen).
1). In both books, she created a reason for the female to stay chaste for a suuuuuuuper long time and used the MM sex as sexual tension filler for the book. It was to the point of ridiculous. Once people take the step to kissing and other bases, to live together and not even kiss or touch again for weeks upon weeks even though they were into each other, almost made it feel like she was just intimidated to write about that aspect of the story. Like I said, she gave a reason, but the guys didn't know it at first for the second part of the series. The love scenes were not sensual and felt like they were written by a man. The one I hated the most was one where her virginity had to be taken, he did 2 pumps because she wanted it done quickly (she has pain issues) and then he was all like 'that was just the best I have ever had' vibe. Just ick. Honestly, she needs to work on this and read some JT Geissinger, if she wants to write a sensual scene.

I think the guys were done really well. I felt a depth of character and they each had good individuality, which for as many men as were in the story, can be hard to disntinguish them. So I give that a 4 of 5. Well done. You are sure to find someone that cranks your motor.

At first I really liked the woman and then...they became selfish shallow humans, that said things to sound bad-ass, but it just felt off putting. Like in one book she kept talking about channeling her inner $lut/w**re, like she was living that kind of life, but it felt like posturing for posturing sake. Like the author had written who this woman was supposed to be in her mind and then had to use references even though it didn't fit. There is a magical enchantment that she felt may have given her free reign to tie into those statements, but they just didn't come across as authentic and it made me cringe (I read everything and all heat levels, so not because I am not into it) but because it was off and had me stopping my read to eye roll. Maybe part of the reason I am so disappointed is because it held so much promise for me and the way the woman turned out were just such a turn-off. Really, the men deserved better and the only reason any man would be stuck with them for life is if they had no choice or like to be with a twit.

Strategy came up. And how one was off the charts strategic. I was excited...this was going to be so critical to the story. It was talked about over and over...and then the war comes and she is strategizing with others and it is just junk. Absolute junk. sometimes alarms go off and the rush right into war, sometimes they talk about impossible calculations they are doing that are laughable. They would never have the numbers to do the calcs...like ever...to be that specific with the results either...since they constantly talked about not knowing the detailed numbers about the enemy or even certainty over how so many were infected...yet they were doing calls on how likely it was to come up with a vaccine or chance of success...so it was just another eye-roll.

I think the overall ideas and imagination are really awesome, but she needs a writing partner that brings things to earth, so that things flow and vibe in a way that is amazing.

I would have given it a 2, but doing 6 books deserves more than that, so a 3.

Loved this whole series. First three books being about Sadie and her men, followed by Aran and her men in the last 3. And let me just say, Sadie and Aran are seriously friendship goals. I laughed so much, they are so insane, definition of ride or die.
While I adored Sadie, I was most excited to figure out Aran and what went through her head, talk about delivery! I was not disappointed. This series is such an easy read with a smidge of world building. Honestly wish there were more books to read, I'm still having withdrawals months later!

The first three books in the series (Sadie's story) are good. The pacing is well done. There were quite a few times I audibly laughed during the books, which is fairly uncommon for me. The lore/world-building is light, but doesn't take away from anything. At times the writing can be a little repetitive (particularly for the internal monologues) and there are a few things from Book 1 that aren't fleshed out or are left feeling unfinished (Zed's servitude, one alpha's afinity for fire). These things are not enough to ruin the books and I plan to read Aran's story. On the whole I would recommend if you're looking for a quick and light read that has some humor.

Dark and extra spicy.

This was a series for me that I could not stop reading. You will fall is love with all the bad ass but extremely flawed characters. The series is split as books 1-3 follows some charters and books 4-6 follows other but the story line flows.

If you like any of the following then you need to read this series: dark spicy books, kick as FMC, why choose with hot guys, mult POV, sooooo many different tropes (enemies to lover, friends to lover, mult lovers, mates, opposites attract, emotional scars, bully and more).

This series is absolutely amazing! I could not put these books down. Emotional Rollercoaster filled with beauty, spice, humor, and torment. Very few books have made me actually laugh out loud, especially if I'm around other people, but I couldn't help myself multiple times. The FMC's are strong badass women who are also very relatable. The world building and plot twists are exactly what I want in a fantasy read. The only negative is that I finished book 5, 6 days before book 6 is to be released, to have to wait almost a week to satisfy the cravings is going to be difficult! I can't wait to read more from this author in the future!
