Very few men have defeated Chuck Norris in Competition. My first Karate sensei, Louis Delgado ,was one of them . The author of this book , Tonny Tulleners , was another ! Well written and presented, a must have for the Martial Arts Library! So look out Chuck ! 😉

Un libro muy bueno para empezar desde cero el karate
Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2007
I got this book years ago, before I ever formally studied martial arts. It lays out the basics clearly in photographs, pointing out common mistakes. It stresses form of technique, which is just what a beginner needs. After practicing with nothing more than this book (because it really does come down to practice), when I finally did start studying in a school, instructors would ask me, "You really never studied before?"

And don't let the title dissuade you. It's Karate based, but the material it covers: bowing, blocks, punches, kicks, etc, are fundamental to all martial arts. What you learn from this book can be applied to any style, and after years of training, the material is as fresh and relevant as ever.
