To start off, I’d like to give some trigger warnings for physical and mental abuse. But to be clear, it’s not the main characters abusing anyone. Suicide is also mentioned in this book. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up because not everyone is comfortable reading a book with these topics or at least not without a warning.
This book is connected to the previous two books called baby mine and baby yours. I 100% recommend starting with those two books before diving into this story. This series revolves around a group of friends and you will be so much more satisfied with the story if you read in order.
Mason Holt has been through a lot in his life. I really felt for his character as well as his love interest, Sophie Corrigan. This was an emotional read and went into deeper topics. It is a love story but there’s so much to it and it’s not a happy go lucky path.
Sophie and Mason have trouble finding that perfect timing for the two to give things a try. Something always gets in the way. Saying that, you know this will be a slow burn romance. But trust me, it’s worth the ride.
I love when we have a group of friends in a series and we get to hang out with them all. Seeing each member finding their person is just the best. I also loved that we got to see how a previous couple was doing and seeing snippets of their lives together. Kennedy Fox wrote another amazing story and I cannot wait to continue on with the next book!!
