Customer Review

I really like Fiskar products. I have a bunch of them and they are my “go to” brand when I can. Everything from a sledge hammer down to a snap knife. These pruners cut great and they look very sleek. Unfortunately, the user interface on the lock is just sort of clunky and it really brings the overall experience down. I did learn that when unlocking, at least on my set, you don’t want to push the slider too far. You just want to push it about 1/4-3/8”, but you can keep pushing and it will move more like 1/2” or more. If you only open it a little, then you can close it with one hand. If you push to the full open position, it is difficult or impossible to close with one hand. I don’t understand why the lock has this further position but it seems to not be the best.

I think that usability is something I expect from Fiskars but they just didn’t do this one right.

Once you have them open, these thing cut really well. Even after sharpening some old all metal ones that have been my favorites for a few years, these Fiskar units cut easier and cleaner. I really like using them and I’m happy with that part. If only the lock was better designed.
