I use crystal cat liter in my scoop free automatic liter box. After finding the perfect liter for us (lots of trial and error in this department) I was still finding the silicone to wreak of urine after 3-4 days. This product has helped tremendously! I think I am going to go through it quicker than I anticpated, but my current method is sprinkle as needed. It is very dusty, so try to use it AFTER your cat has used the box so they don't go in during the dust cloud.
I would not be able to survive this scoop free box without this product. It does have a chlorine smell, but I constantly have a pet candle burning so I don't notice it except right when I am sprinkling. It quickly subsides and just soaks up all the smell. I am very happy with this purchase!
My cat doesn't seem to care/notice. His bathroom habits have remained the same!
I am on day 7 of this particular box, which is normally when it wreaks to the point that I have to change it (which was getting to be very expensive and annoying) so I'm really happy to have found a product to help me prolong the use of the scoop free system. At this rate, we might make it for the full month, like advertised with the system!
