This works well for my streaming. I purchased 2 of of these devices, one refurbished, one new. I bought one for my bedroom, and one for the living room. I do have huge wall mounted tv's in both rooms, however I live in a condo, with neighbors with sonic hearing, that instantly call the hoa just from the low audio.
The wall mounted huge tv's have lost their novelty as well, so it's time for them to go. These echo show 15 are perfect for streaming! Clear crisp picture, and just the right size for viewing. I have to say, I think the audio is better on the new one. I have no idea why, maybe my imagination??!!??
I Definitely recommend a remote fo each one you purchase however. Aside from using amazon video, I tend to watch youtube alot. While the touch interface works well for Youtube/etc, it's nice not to have to use the touch screen at times.
(A-word-to-the-wise) I initially used the refurbished one in my bedroom. I kept hearing popping and buzzing noises, and I was really concerned, for absolutely no reason. It turns out, it happend to be on the same powerstrip as me electric mattress pad. Every time the pad would turn on and off, sure enough, that was the cause of it.
I had left an eh... unfair review when I thought it had issues. As it turns out, It was totally my fault. I have learned a valuable lesson, and that is, I will never leave a poor review again until I am sure there is an issue is my purchase only if it can't be resolved as well. From here-on-out, the rule I made for myself is investigate/troubleshoot first, instead of freak out first.
I highly recommended both the refurbished device, as well as the new one. They both are high quality, solid devices. There are so many really cool features as well, which I won't go into more.
