So, this product really was a chore. It does NOT make ice cream as fast as it claims. We had to have it on and going for nearly an hour, then had to replace all the ice that was melting, and the salt, then run it for another hour just for it to become a slush or consistency. It never fully became ice cream. It’s extremely loud and made a loud clanging sound when it went around, we think due to the metal bucket being slightly bent from shipping, but nothing critical just annoying.
However, the worst part here is we only got one use out of it before we had to throw it away. As soon as we washed it, the next day in the dish drainer I noticed the metal gear at the bottom of the bucket has now rusted severely. I tried washing it off and scrubbing the rest off and that seemed to have worked until I left it to dry and the next day it was even worse than before. Terrible product experience and I would not recommend this ice cream(slushee maker) I had to trash mine. Might be good for slushies though, only once. :(
