4⭐️ 3.5🌶️I just ADORE Lauren’s books and this was another to add to my list!I love a LOT about her books but what I love most is that her books make you feel SO happy. They are the definition of feel-good books with the sweetest characters and cute moments. I just always relate to random things in her books and feel seen- like cute pets, love for cheese, etc.😂The Accidental Dating Experiment is in her dating series world featuring Monroe and Juliet. Monroe is Juliet’s brother’s older friend. They ran into each other in the small town that Monroe grew up in 8 years ago. They spent 1 week together and went their separate ways. Cut to 8 years later and they are podcast co-hosts working together. They host a dating podcast and have the best banter! Through forced proximity in a dating experiment, they become close and turn into more💛This book made me swoon, laugh out loud, and fall for these characters - and of course continue my love for the side characters who are from previous books! It really is difficult to not enjoy or like a book by Lauren Blakely. This book is just another example of the delightful, lighthearted & funny books she writes.

Things I liked about this book AND the audio:

🎤Narrators: Andi Arndt & Jacob Morgan - wonderful narration of the story & each portrayed the characters perfectly

💜 Grumpy x Sunshine - Monroe & Juliet - Monroe is such a grump especially when it comes to love while Juliet tries to look at the positive in everything
🌼 Opposites Attract - Monroe & Juliet are both endearing & funny but so different which makes them perfect for the other
💜 Pining Away - both pine for the other but Monroe more so. Juliet attempts to move on & get past the loss of Monroe but he just cannot seem to do it.
🌼 Back & Forth Banter - they are so good at egging each other on
💜 They have a past - why do they refuse to talk about it?!?!? They both tiptoe around it but need to address it
🌼 Small Town AND Close Proximity - I love when everything is surrounded by those small communities. And since Monroe & Juliet are staying in the same house they simply cannot be far from the other
💜Dating Coach - Monroe thinks this is going to help?! But he has a plan . . . he does not want to tell Juliet he loves her, but he is not going to make it easy for her to date anyone else
🌼 Spice/Spicy Scenes - always, always, always
💜 Happily Ever After - again - always, always, always (🥰)

I am a huge fan of Lauren Blakely and couldn't wait to read this book. Lauren always delivers fun stories with lots of heat. The Accidental Dating Experiment is book four in the 'How to Date' series, which includes standalone romantic comedies about friends who learn how to date again. This story is about Monroe and Juliet.

Monroe and Juliet have a podcast together where they give dating advice. They had a short fling eight years ago, and although they don't talk about what happened, neither of them can forget. When a super fan of their show gifts them a house, they travel to Monroe's small hometown to fix it up. With their close proximity, there is a lot of tension between them. When Monroe agrees to be Juliet's dating coach, things heat up even more. Can Monroe continue to resist his best friend's little sister, or will he give in to his feelings for her?

This is classic Lauren Blakely. The heat is amazing, and the banter between Monroe and Juliet is top-tier. The Accidental Dating Experiment is an entertaining story of two friends who are made for each other. I can't wait for the next story in this series! If you want a laugh-out-loud, easy read, this is for you.

Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan performed a duet-style narration. Lauren always chooses the best narrators for her stories. I loved them together! They did well with the comedy, the heartfelt scenes, and the steamy moments. Andi and Jacob were perfect voices for Juliet and Monroe.

This was a fantastic grumpy sunshine romance. It was a really well written story with a great flow. The storyline was entertaining and had a lot of interesting aspects. It included some interesting side characters as well and I enjoyed both Juliet’s interactions with her mom and Monroe’s with his dad.
I fell in love with Monroe from the beginning and I loved the dynamic between him and Juliet. They had fantastic chemistry and they got such a satisfying HEA. The story was funny and steamy and I loved it.

This was very heavy on the sex scenes. Still had decent plot and loved the chemistry between the characters. Just wish Monroe hadn't been suck a chicken for most of the book.
I will never understand the people who are like "I like them. I want them in bed but....I don't want to date them." I just don't get that mentality. So....u think it's somehow less damaging to tell someone they're good enough for sex but not good enough to commit to? Doesn't compute lol
That being said, Juliet really made Monroe realize that maybe this time, his fragile ego and low self worth wasn't worth losing his love. He was enough for her and he just needed to realize that, with a little push from her brother of all people haha

A story about second chances and finding the way back to your person. How we’re all flawed, but love sees them flaws and accepts you for who you are as you grow to better yourselves together.
