I got a story of a guy who never cared beyoond his football until that one day.... when he met her. And I got a "her" that deserved this guy's love and to be the center of his world. I don't care that there wasn't drama to tear my stomach up, or that they didn't have a huge break up scene. Life works this way, or we all hope it does sometimes. Not everything has to be fought for with knives and rocks. Sometimes things are just right. I thinkt he tension in the begining of the story before they even try to get together was perfect knowing their characters and how they felt for one another. They were cautious but not afraid.
So despite all the other reviews, if you are a romantic at heart and love feeling heart in a story and seeing a great ending - read this. It's worth your time. It was just what i needed right now and I have promptly gotten the second book in the series excited to see Hales and Aiden's story next.
Don't listen to all you read review wise, this is a book that means what it says, it's a love story and if that isn't for you, walk away - if you are a princess at heart and love the "hearts and flowers" buy it now and you won't be let down!
I love this story!!!
Book Girl From South Carolina
1. Grammar/editing-missing/misplaced commas, missing words, and your/you're mistakes...while not totally rampant to the point of distraction, these errors were noticeable as they occurred multiple times
2. The pace and flow of the story-the story is told from the viewpoints of both Allison and Liam, the two leads in the book. I do like reading stories like this so you get to hear both sides of the story, but I didn't care for the overlapping of scenes and rehashing that came with it-it interrupts the flow of the book for me since you keep going forward and then back again. While yes, you then get to "see" the scene from the other person's point of view, it keeps pulling the timeline back and forth, and not necessarily adding much to the story in the process. Thankfully as the book went on there was less and less overlap as each character told their chapter. Another thing about pace-at the beginning, the story seems to proceed at an unhurried pace, but the second the two characters finally come together, it feels like everything is too fast-the pace of their relationship goes from zero to one hundred in the blink of an eye. I get that it's supposed to reflect the love-at-first-sight type of relationship they have, but it feels like it is actually too fast.
There are other time issues, such as how it was explained that the girls would go to all of the home games but not usually the away ones depending on where those away games were, making you feel like the timeline had progressed into the football season, but then later on you suddenly are back at the first game of the season again and not as a flashback-the timeline just backs up.
3. The tie-it-up-with-a-bow-neat aspect of the ending. Yes, I love HEA endings. But the way the author just wrapped everything up at the end felt extremely rushed...and the outcome of the draft was just unrealistic (by the way, it's the Carolina Panthers, not the North Carolina Panthers...or was this just how the author set up the world of the book?).
Don't get me wrong--I really liked the story itself, I just feel the way it was told was rushed, especially the ending, once you reach the point that the two leads finally hook up. I believe the book could benefit from a fleshing out--it felt too short for the story that the author was trying to tell. My overall impression is a sweet, short read that could use some work to turn it into a fuller, less rushed story.

Erstens, es gibt keine Handlung. Allison und Liam verlieben sich ineinander. Punkt.
