Everything works as it should. The brakes make some noise, and the Disc gets thrown out of wack pretty easily. An upgraded disc would probably fix this issue. I've been using this all around town to bypass construction this summer. It's been great!

It's really cool but I can easier to put together the only problem I had was there was no owners manual in the box so I close the bike together and forgot to remove the battery protector and messed up my battery and I'm having trouble getting the owners manual document downloaded so I can learn how to use my controls I really wish they would have had a manual in the book it would help put it together too but I got a deal now with getting the manual so I can learn how to program the screen I've been on the phone over and over

Best Lectric bike I have ridden and is quite comfortable.

This was hands down the worst and very expesive p[urchase we ever made on Amazon. The purchased model was different (now out of production) but company removed the item from Amazon to avoid bad reviews. The component used on these bikes are generic Chinese made electronics that are very bad in quality and will NOT last. The support was fairly good in replacing the components, but we are slowing runnign out of 1 year warranty and eventually this bike will turn into non-electric due to failed components and out of warranty. So far we replaced:
LCD display - (2x times!)
Battery
speed controller
power button
entire harness
the bike failed 3 times and is currently down again waiting for support response.

If you value your money and want to save yourself endless headaches, consider another brand or buy something in local bike shop that will be able to service it. This is also something you should get with extended warranty.

What really surprises me above anything else with Lectric bikes is the generic components that they use on thier machines. The Lectric brand means nothing when they use $15 generic LCD screens that last few months before they fail. Its puzzling that in this competitive market a company is willing to gamble with cheap components, especially selling something at high price that is supposed to last for years. Lectric is not it folks.

I would not be surprised to see some sort of class action against the company. This is simply unacceptable.

First I’ll get into the less than great stuff. So I got this bike and it worked amazing for I think 77 miles (mileage reset after i got a replacement display). Then I had some issues with the controller cutting out. I bought directly through Lectric. But from what I’ve read, their customer service is equally great when bought from amazon.

Literally their customer service responded to emails in four minutes when I was having issues. I bought this model knowing about it having issues with the battery/controller/display but I took the risk and spent just shy of four paychecks on this bike, with the cargo package, comfort package, upgraded headlight and phone holder. It was out of service for a couple weeks whilst troubleshooting and in the shop at their showroom.

They made me do my due diligence and try everything but I took videos of the issue and more after replacing the display and controller. But not once did it feel like they were questioning the fact that it was actually not working. Replacing those two parts also was super easy. All i needed was a screwdriver and some Alan wrenches. They also sent me the new controller and display free of charge (i didn’t even pay shipping), but those didn’t fix the issue. So they accepted it at their phoenix showroom and ended up replacing the faulty battery for free. They also will repair at authorized bike shops nationwide. I’m still impressed that the gave me hundreds of dollars of replacement parts without even making me jump through hoops—the warranty is no joke.

I was a little annoyed that they still sent out a model that has some known issues, but their customer service and the fact that people have put 20k+ miles on their XP 1.0 or 2.0 models made it more than worthwhile. That’s a huge savings on Ubers or car maintenance. Plus it’s exceptionally fun to ride.

The pros:
⁃ Unheard of customer service. I’m baffled at how great it is.
⁃ Amazing range per charge without sacrificing power.
⁃ Great torque, super intuitive and natural power delivery. It doesn’t feel like the assist is taking over when it kicks in.
⁃ The PAS levels maxing out (& cutting off) at set speeds gives SO MUCH control (10mph for level 1, 15 for 2, 20, etc).
⁃ The cadence sensor with the geared hub motor never feels like the motor is taking over. I’m always in control. It also delivers power in a safe and comfortable way.
⁃ The instantaneous motor cutoff when braking is a lifesaver. I am not unnecessarily wearing out brakes fighting the motor, and the bike stops on a dime. It also cuts off a second after pedaling stops.
⁃ The headlight is way better than on my last bike, and the running light in the back makes nighttime rides so much safer.
⁃ The cargo package makes carrying groceries effortless. I also love the options for mounting baskets rotated 90°. I do recommend buying cheap bungee cords and I’m going to personally look at getting some variety of lockable box to make a better trunk. But I could comfortably fit a week’s worth of food for 1-2 people in the two cargo baskets and probably not even need a backpack.
⁃ It works surprisingly great for hot weather. I can go 5.5+ miles in 98°+ heat and not be stinky when arriving at work. I don’t even need extra deodorant. I’ll be sweaty, but again, I’m still presentable after wiping my forehead and maybe cooling off for 2-3 minutes.
⁃ Hydraulic disc brakes are a lifesaver. I knew they would be way nicer than regular disc brakes or rim brakes, but they’re a literal mind blowing improvement. They’re also Shimano, so easily serviceable and replaceable when worn out. Also exceedingly easy to adjust with a cheap, $10 bike tool.
⁃ The fenders are unbelievable. I’ve never been hit by rocks, gotten dirt on pants or shoes, nor been splashed in rain.
⁃ All the electrical components are UL certified so there’s peace of mind.
⁃ The tires have slime pre-installed, so I don’t need to worry about bringing extra inner tubes.
⁃ The bike comes essentially fully assembled, I was riding in under 30 minutes.
⁃ It’s super easy for someone with mobility issues. I had concerns about the step over, but I wanted the pedals to be slightly higher off the ground and I don’t regret that. It’s the first bike I’ve been able to stand on while pedaling (I also was relearning how to walk less than a decade ago, after a stroke and brain tumor, so it’s very ergonomic and accessible).
Some things I was concerned about but are actually positives:
⁃ I didn’t originally like the idea of not having throttle unless I had pedal assist on, but with the cadence sensor it’s actually nicer than my last bike that could use pure throttle.
⁃ I was concerned that the fat tires would make rides more difficult. But with the exemplary motor, I don’t find them any harder. That said, they get way better grip and stop on a dime—even in loose dirt or gravel.
⁃ I was also concerned about only having front suspension, but it works so well I don’t feel the need for full suspension, even on my super bumpy commute.
⁃ I like having more ability to feel what I’m riding on and I was concerned the comfort seat would limit that, but it doesn’t remotely. It DOES save me from a sore butt by the time I arrive at my destination.
⁃ The folding mechanism doesn’t have any latch to keep it folded, but it’s super easy to fold small so I can’t fault it for that. People also have found fixes with Velcro straps, but I’ve never even needed one.

All in all, it’s not a perfect bike. It also might need adjustments out of the box. BUT, i can’t recommend it any more than i presently do. Even if it means saving up four paychecks (like for me), i recommend getting this bike. 10/10 when factoring in the customer support!!!
