I bought a Roomba in 2017. It worked well until it didn't, lol. It was wonderful to see how well it cleaned, but this year it began acting up so I purchased this one. I thought the 690 worked well--but this us night and day!
It's hard to explain, but this Roomba is just plain smarter. The 690 starts, kind of goes around willy-nilly, and often missed spots. I'm not a programmer so I never programmed it. Bur right out of the box--this one seemed to start mapping the room immediately. I saw how it went in straight, overlapping lines and not just on a ride.
I haven't used the .op and probably won't. But so far the vacuum cleans well and works great.

Lower your expectations
I wanted to like it. In a sense it worked but just barely. At one point it was done cleaning yet stuck under our dresser. In another room though it was clearly blocked it went on a rampage trying to go over the obstacle only to get stuck 😑. Both times it was stuck the app just told me it was done cleaning 🙃. Plus I must have watched it for 5-10 minutes pushing some debris back and forth and the mop feature doesn't have really seemed to do much of anything.I mean I picked up and the home feels cleaner. I know it's not supposed to do everything at 100% just I guess I expected more.I guess if I had to rate it I would say 3 stars because when I empty out the bin the amount of debris and hair it collects is actually pretty amazing
