About this item

  • Ultimate Hands-Free Cleaning: ECOVACS OMNI station offers a fully automated solution. It self-empties with a large dust bag that holds up to 90 days of dust, while also washing wipes with 131°F hot water to ensure cleanliness. Additionally, it refills the robot's built-in water tank with clean water to cover up to 4300 sqft (400 sqm) and uses hot air to dry the mop after each use, preventing unpleasant odors.
  • 8000Pa Powerful Suction with Extra-Long Roller Brush: Ecovacs features a longer 200mm main rubber brush for more efficient cleaning. Made of rubber, it minimizes hair entanglement and, combined with its 8000Pa powerful suction, swiftly and effectively collects crumbs, hair and dust on both hard floors and carpets. Ideal for homes with pets.
  • Intelligent 15mm Auto Mop Lifting: With ECOVACS' latest innovation, the X2 OMNI can automatically raise its mop by 15mm when it detects carpets. This prevents unnecessary mopping on carpets and simultaneously increases suction power for efficient carpet cleaning. Enjoy comprehensive cleaning without compromising on convenience.
  • AI-controlled AIVI 3D 2.0 Obstacle Avoidance: with fully integrated AI and sophisticated machine learning, the robot can "learn" and "think" to achieve more flexible and accurate dynamic obstacle avoidance (such as fast-walking people and semi-open doors), as well as a more thorough cleaning in complex household in both bright and dark environments.
  • Industry's First Dual-laser LiDAR Navigation: The X2 OMNI is the pioneer in robot vacuum technology, featuring a fully integrated LiDAR sensor. Its dual laser LiDAR sensor can detect objects up to 10 meters away at a 210-degree angle, making it smartly navigate, avoid obstacles, and map cleaning paths in your home. Plus, it creates detailed 3D maps for precise and personalized cleaning. In addition, the X2 OMNI is become flat and slimmer than traditional LDS robot vacuum, which allows it to easily glides under beds and sofas for hidden dirt.
  • Dual Rotating Mopping System: The upgraded OZMO Turbo 2.0 Rotating Mopping System mimics human hand movements, with a rapid 25,000 RPM motor. It exerts a consistent 6N mopping pressure and spins at 180 rotations per minute. This powerful combination deep cleans effectively, removing stains from everyday spills to stubborn dried-on messes.
  • Seamless Interactive Experience with ECOVACS: The X2 OMNI offers an unparalleled level of control with its self-contained YIKO 2.0 voice assistant. There's no need for additional connections to Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Siri. Activating and operating the DEEBOT X2 OMNI is always a breeze, enhancing the enjoyment of your robot vacuum.
  • Live Video Monitoring and Two-Way Calls: The Starlight Camera lets you watch your home in real-time and have video chats to keep an eye on your family and pets.(Product privacy protection certification ensures your privacy and data security.)

Great for maintaining with vacuum AND mopping features
Over the years I have wanted a robot vacuum, but waited until my research findings allowed me to decide on a unit that was worth the money. I finally chose this unit because it vacuums, mops, self cleans (and uses hot water to self clean), air dries it’s mops after the self clean, empties out its dust bin into the base station and holds enough water to clean my entire house (1800 sq ft). This unit did not disappoint. Another thing to mention is my husband cannot take the noise of a loud noisy vacuum as he has severe tinnitus and that noise will cause it to get extreme. I was worried about just how noisy this unit would be - couldn’t find much in the reviews about noise level. Well, I am happy to report that as the vacuum is going, it is very tolerable. It is a low hum that you barely hear in the next room. The unit arrived in a rather large box, was packed well inside the box, and was easy to take out and set up. One thing to mention is you will need to download the app on your phone and connect it to your network that your phone is connected to. (I made the mistake of downloading an app that asked for a lifetime one time fee of $24.95). Turns out you don’t need that app- make sure to scan the machine’s QR code to get the free app that comes with the machine. This QR code is on the inside of the base station lid.Once I set up the machine, (note I filled the tank with plain water), I set it off to go explore the house. It mapped out my house and returned to its base. I then went on the app and labeled the rooms it mapped out and then set it off to clean the living room floor. The machine at first appeared to wander around the perimeter, but then started a methodical cleaning once it completed a perimeter run. When it found rugs or carpet, it turned off its mop feature, raised the mops and increased the suction of the vacuum. When it rolled off of the carpet it lowered the suction, lowered the mops and started the vacuum/mop feature. When it reached the end of the cleaning, it announced it was complete in its cleaning and that it would return to home.I have real wood floors, linoleum, rugs, and carpet throughout my home. The machine adapted to every surface. Only once did it get stuck under a dining room chair where it could not get out of the position. It turned itself off and announced that it was stuck and to please remove it from the jammed area.I would like to see some improvement on the app, (it would not allow me to divide a large room (that is really 2 rooms) as it says “error” tap to divide room again. The machine also has a camera, so you can record or watch what it cleans. Pretty fancy for a robot vacuum.I give this unit 5 stars as it has done everything to my expectations and I have floors that are gleaming clean. Now, if they could design one that dusts furniture (hover to tabletops lol), my cleaning experience would be perfect.I did not use any tech support so I am not rating that. One last thing to add, I bought the unit on good Friday at a great deal of 30% off. So instead of $1,500.00 I paid $1,000.00.Update: It has been a few months. I named my robot Rosie- Rosie does a great job of maintaining my floors. I start her once a week and she keeps everything gleaming. One time I accidentally left my phone charger cord hanging on the floor. I was not home while Rosie was cleaning and she sucked up the cord. She stopped and sent me a message to clear her rollers. When I got home, I found her sitting where she stopped and opened her up, pulled out my cord and cleaned some wrapped hair that was wrapped as well. I am amazed she still worked great with the end of the roller wrapped with hair. Once clean, I sent her home and restarted her. She started right up and worked perfectly. I am still thrilled with my machine.

OK, when I got this robot vac almost 2 months ago I was hesitant. We had just moved into a new house with all tile floors and I had just retired our Neato Botvac D10 and was looking for something that would do mopping. I tried and returned a RoboRock S8 Pro Ultra and was reading reviews about Dreame L20 and Ecovacs. Interestingly, Roborock must hire a lot of 'plants' to promote them on Reddit and bash every other company, but Ecovacs is a huge company in China and Roborock is just a little startup. When my wife and I visited China both our friends and the AirBnB we stayed in had Ecovacs robots. I ordered both the Dreame L20 Ultra and the X2 Omni to try out and compare. I won't bring up the Dreame any further than to say the X2 Omni is a better designed and built robot for a cheaper price.
I have to really commend Ecovacs for innovating robot design and moving to a semi solid-state Lidar system - the venerated top-mounted 360 lidar that has been around since Neato came out with the XV-11 in 2009. Before that Roomba was pretty 'dumb' and just bounced around randomly. The design of the top mounted lidar has stuck around for over a decade, and its proven to be a workable design, but the semi-exposed spinning laser turret on a belt drive has proven to be an achilles heel on in durability. Ecovacs has decided to boldly improve the design which lowers the overall height of the robot so it can better get under furniture.
Also, most robots have settled on a round shape, while the roller brush and suction area are usually 50-70% of the width of the body. Ecovacs again improved on this design going to a flat front, like the original Neato robots, to better access corners and edges. While some companies are coming out with extendable arms and edge hoses, I have discovered over many robot vacuums that the more of these mechanical parts there are, the more likely they are to malfunction and break in the long run. Because honestly, even at $1000 these robot vacuums are not industrial machines, they are little more than useful toys. They aren't meant to fully replace our job of cleaning, but they are meant to help alleviate our workload.

The X2 Omni originally shipped with firmware 1.50, but after having the bot for about a week it updated to firmware 1.62. After another few weeks it updated again to 1.70. Tonight it just received an update to 1.75! Ecovacs is really spending time improving this model. With each firmware update I have noticed improvements in its mapping, navigation, and floor cleaning efficiency. For all the reviewers who criticized the X2 omni, I wish they had reported which firmware they were using. Also, I have found that many of the problems users experience with a robot come down to how they have their house set up. Personally we don't leave phone charger cables hanging around the floor, or random socks, or little kids toys like legos. We don't have high pile carpet, there are only a few low-pile area rugs, and we don't have high saddles in doorways. Almost all of our furniture is raised to the point that the robot can easily go under it and not get stuck.

I did have some problems with the robot thinking that our lazy-boy couch was a wall, but tech support was very helpful by explaining that it was because one side of the couch is against the wall and the robot didn't understand that it was a separate piece of furniture. But other than that the 3D house mapping to even show you furniture in the app is amazing.

I have found the X2 omni solid-state LIDAR + AI camera-based navigation to be amazing, and the mopping functionality is the best I have found. I love the voice-activated YIKO functions that don't even require an Alexa or Google or Apple device to use. I wouldn't say this robot is perfect, but I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Efficacité d'aspiration et surtout silence de fonctionnement !

Not to smart, but it does the job :-) I actually did not want to buy the smart ones, and I made a good decision. It gets in to all of the rooms, it goes under everything it can, it picks up a lot of dust, so far, its very reliable. I like it! Once in a blue moon stuck behind something, but I have a bunch of things on the floor. Its ease to find with the remote. I recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars DEEBOT N79S
Reviewed in Italy on May 2, 2020
