I was worried about spending the money on this because so many reviews (on all brands) mentioned that these don’t work well. I’ve been using my robot vacuum for about a month now. Mostly on hardwood and one room with short carpet. It seems to work well!It does well with dog hair pick up which is the main reason I wanted it. We have a husky that sheds like no other and I wanted something I could set off daily so my husband didn’t come home to a ton of dog hair all on the floors. This robot seems to do the job!Hardwood- picks up mostly everything but won’t get big pieces. It does well with dog hair/crumbs.Carpet- leaves nice carpet lines and appears to spot clean pretty well. I still use my big vacuum on the carpet once a week or so.Mop- I have not yet used the mopping system.

I had the Neato Botvac D7 for years. That machine started off great, however shortly begin giving us issues disconnecting, not recognizing the floor plan, failed parts that my husband replaced several times, app failure. Neato didn't make improvements to the app to fix the issues and finally it was just dead.
I considered irobot but couldn't afford it with our crap economy right now, so I saw this shark. I've had other shark products and loved them so I wanted to try this one and luckily snagged it on sale. So far I'm in love with this vacuum, far superior to the almost $1000 Neato I had.
Some people complained about the battery life, the fact that you have to swap out the moping head, and that it needs to doc to empty often.
However, none of those both me. Some things are the way they are in order to keep the machine small and lightweight. It is slower than my old Neato and has to charge more often, but I'll tell you that it does a MUCH better job actually picking up debris than my old one. I'm glad its slower, as it should be. How can it clean when its zipping around your house?
The mop head should be changed out because you need to fill the reservoir and change the cleaning pad anyway, so who cares. Plus, you're likely not going to mop every day.
The app functions well and is easy to use. This mapped my 3000 sq home 1st time no prob. I added no go zones and identified rugs easily. The app lets you schedule a whole house cleaning but I'm sure you could also schedule room or specific zone cleanings if you create other maps just for those areas, but haven't tried it yet. I clean my whole home every day. So far I love it. We'll see if any issues arise after a while.

We have had a Shark Duoclean vacuum for years, and it's been amazing for cleaning up after twins and multiple cats. But now that we have a much bigger house with lots of wood floors, we wanted to invest in a robot vac. We love our Duoclean so much that we didn't really even research other brands—we just went with what we know and love. And so far, it's paying off big time!

We got the Shark AI Ultra Robot 2-in-1 Vacuum and Mop. My twins named her "Emily". The fact that she vacuums AND mops simultaneously is nothing short of AMAZING. Her mapping system is ROBUST. She spent an hour or so exploring our house and mapping it out, then I was able to name each room. You have the ability to set "no-go" zones which the robot will avoid completely, and create carpet zones where she won't go when she has the mop attached. With the app, you can select just a couple of rooms for her to clean, or the whole house. You can also have her "spot clean" any 5 square foot area. She has three cleaning levels: Eco, Normal, and Matrix.

We decided against the self-emptying base, for a few reasons: 1. It's SO much more expensive, 2. I read it's really loud and we didn't want it to scare our cats, and 3. It only empties the dustbin—it doesn't do anything for the mopping reservoir. We knew we'd only do a few rooms at a time, so just emptying her dust bin after each run has been totally fine for us. When Emily is just doing her normal vacuum and mop runs, she's pretty quiet—no scared cats!

Are there any cons? I'm not sure how well her cliff sensor works—she almost fell down the stairs when she first mapped out the house, but I was there to stop her. But not a big deal, because I created a no-go zone around the stairs. Also she doesn't do spectacularly well on carpets. But she does good enough for me! Overall I am THRILLED that Emily has joined our family!

If you want a robot vacuum & don't want to splurge for the competition, you'll need to buy this product from Shark directly, and not Amazon, if you want to give it a try. Also, may want to invest in a secondary router. Read on.

This was our 2nd Shark product purchased from Amazon in 5 years. We got this Shark and it was working amazingly! I loved how it matrix cleaned our carpets (we have pets, & it did awesome). However, 32 days after we got it, it stopped communicating with our router one evening. It was out of the 30 warranty with Amazon by 2 days, so we had to go through the manufacturer, Shark.

My husband is a software engineer, and after 2 reps, 3 escalations, and a manager promising to call us back, it's been 6 days with no response from Shark. Mind you, he spent roughly 5 hours talking to Shark. Shark has a 60 day return policy, so this could have been returned, had it been purchased from Shark directly, and not Amazon.

After doing research online, Shark is aware of an issue, but is refusing to correct it. If this had broken within 30 days, that would be fine. If it continued to work on our network, that would be even better. As it stands, it will not work on our network, and can't be returned, and the manufacturer is refusing to honor their warranty. They are flatly refusing to honor their manufacturers warranty at all! I asked flat out, and was told they cannot warranty it.

*About the issue: Shark has a a known issue with handling 63 character WPA2-PSK passwords, which are within the WPA2-PSK specification. Shark advised us to create a low-security Guest network specifically for our vacuum. That would break the integrity and security of our existing network since we would now have to enable the guest network to have visibility to our secure normal network to allow our phones and the Shark app to control the vacuum. Totally unacceptable solution.

It did work, but stopped communicating with our router after 32 days, then when we tried to remove it and add it back to our network, it cannot be added back. They have all the logs of our use. They have the vacuum logs of what went wrong. And they refuse to make this right. For 32 days it worked. It does not work anymore. It's just an expensive doorstop now.

Unless you are a software engineer & are ready to invest 8-10 hours figuring out a work-around, save your money & get the more expensive brand. You won't have to buy a second router JUST to use it. When this one dies, it will be the last Shark we waste money on. So disappointed in Shark, and even more so in Amazon. Expensive lessons learned & hope it helps someone else.

 Trapea pisos ligeramente sucios y aspira bien , en mi caso llegó con un defecto de fábrica que constantemente se detenía cuando hacía giros rápidos para trapear y dame el error 18 , y lo tuve que devolver , espero poder volver a comprarlo

 Estoy fastidiado con mi Shark es muy buena en aspirar piso y alfombras, al momento de ponerlo en modo trapeado hace doble trabajo aspira y trapea deja los pisos muy limpios con la trapeadora. Es muy importante quitar obstáculos grandes para que haga bien su trabajo…. Ahora lo malo es que soy de México y no existe aplicación para poder controlar desde un dispositivo móvil. Hago llamado importante eh urgente al vendedor que liberen alguna aplicación para uso en México. Es muy buena la Shark como para no poderla usar con aplicaciones.
