We’ve been running this pump for the past month non-stop and it has been working wonderfully in our backyard pond and stream. Compared to our old pump that this one is replacing, it’s very quiet as we don’t even hear it and provides a good strong flow. The housing feels sturdy and it has a nice long cord. Using this with the mesh bag that came with it, which is a nice addition to help prolong the impeller.

Easy connection and adjustment to replace the prior pump. PVC connections instead of tubing, so discarded the provided adapter and used standard threaded connector. Nice quiet operation. Smooth powerful flow exactly as expected. Nice long cord for connection. Mine is hard wired, so cutting off the plug and accessing the bare wires was required. The sheath is quite thick and robust and is clearly waterproof - actually a little difficult to cut it away to access the wires (not a negative aspect - it shows a quality product). My last pump ran 12 hours per day for nearly 20 years - I will report back on the life span of this one (which by all indications, will probably be in 20 years - don't wait around). Total lift height is about 5 feet and routes thru 1.25 inch PVC and then branches to five 1/2 inch lines. Plenty of output and I have a partially open secondary exhaust gate valve to allow for pressure relief so the final output is not too forceful and the back pressure on the pump is not too high.

I can recommend this pump but I wish it was just a bit better. It's a variation of an old standard US pumps and works well.
The plastic suction pads are useless and fall off easily.
The plastic housing handle -- which is designed to rotate -- does not lock securely and thus rotates too much.
The plastic output adapter is not designed for typical US water pipes used in many ponds. Thus I had to buy and create my own adapter to work.

Very disappointing. A pump is the heart of a system and often the most difficult to plumb in and out. In this instance the pump has good flow, but the pumps own vibration causes the houseing to spin and spin apart. Have had nothing but issues with this pump leaking water, and sucking up air through the seal between the motor and inpeller housing. Has taken two days to replace and replumb the pump at the cost of almost $1500 in additonal labor. very disappointing and highly unreliabel pump.

Unit is simple, powerful and solidly built. Cleaning the unit is a snap compared to those pumps that are inside a plastic case.

Comes with a very long it’s which is a huge plus. We are using the mesh bag to keep debris out of the pump - don’t situate it in the bottom of f your pond. Keep it at lest a foot above the bottom. Keeps sludge build up to a minimum and if god forbid you have a leakage issue, there will still be enough water in the bottom of your pond to prevent your marine life from dying a terrible death (at least if you are a fish - dehydration would be doubly bad lol)

Great warranty as well - and so far the seller has been responsive to a few questions I had. Overall a great experience!

I rarely if ever write reviews on Amazon, but I was so pleasantly surprised by this pump that I thought I would in this case. We have a decorative fountain in our backyard that has burned through 5 or 6 Little Giant pumps of various sizes in 8 years. I was reluctant to try a brand I hadn't heard of, but given the rate we were going through pumps and the MUCH lower price on this unit I figured I would take a shot. So far I am extremely impressed. It is smaller, quieter, and lighter weight than the units we were using. It also says it uses less than half the energy, which I believe because the old one was hot to the touch to the point that I worried about burning myself on it (we use the pump out of the water) whereas this unit does not heat up at all. The three year warranty is also a huge increase from Little Giant's warranty. Anyway, so far so good and I already ordered a second unit as a backup.
