    A SMART phone has several types of locks. In order to get into a device there is one type of lock, usually a passcode that is set on the phone, for example, IPhone has a lock put into it by Apple iOS. The way to get around this would be to perhaps wipe the phone entirely. Another 2nd lock is put on by the carrier (the cell phone service provider). This was labeled a Verizon phone but it was locked and neither the seller nor the Verizon tech support was able to unlock it. I feel it’s a deceptive practice to sell a phone labeled as linked to a carrier but locked. This is often the case with black market or stolen phones. The seller refused to assist in providing any type of support which might have allowed me to unlock it.

    Overall, the phone works as advertised. The camera is great, the interface is simple to use, and call quality is definitely on par when compared to top-tier android flagship devices. The battery life is okay. It can last an entire day on light usage, but in my opinion, I am not satisfied with the battery life. When compared to its competition, android devices in general just have more battery life. With the apple fast charger, charging the phone is much improved, but is still far behind android.

    The best thing I like about the iphone is the screen design. The screen is completely flat, so it helps when deciding what screen protector to put on it. I do not like it when the screen wraps itself around the phone. It makes the device much more delicate in my experience.

    I think the iphone is a solid all-around smartphone. The phone is specifically designed to work within the Apple ecosystem and obviously does a solid job of doing so. I do believe iphones are way over priced, but its a supply and demand market so my opinion will not resonate with every single customer. In my experience, there are android devices that can perform in a similar manner at half the price. Solid device, not a must have unless it is something that you actually need.

    I bought this phone outright to use AT&T prepaid. I moved countries from the US to NZ with the intent to request AT&T carrier unlock my phone after I moved, so that I may use it at my new residence. After requesting, AT&T informed me there are debts still on this account from the previous owner and will not unlock it for me. When messaging the seller they inform me that locked phones are still on contract. If you buy one with the intent of requesting your carrier unlock it later, it will have installment debts from prior owner. And this seller will not unlock it for you or remove the contract. Paying outright, full price for a phone to have it under SOMEONE ELSE'S contract should be illegal!
