Once we figured the best recipe, this works like it should. We’ve made ice cream 3 times so far and have figured out certain tricks. Be sure the bowl has been in the freezer at least s couple days. We also put the mixing bowl in the freezer. Keep the ingredients cold till using them. It’s easy to clean just follow directions. Bought this for 10yr old and she’s able to do this with supervision. It’s a great gift for someone who loves ice Cream. It’s easy to put together out of the box. Mine is white with a clear cover. Love it. We used an easy recipe i found online but the recipe book that came with it works too. I followed the recipe on myfrugalhome.com

I'm a single senior who loves home made ice cream but unless the family is over I don't need my 5 qt maker. I just received and used this twice over the weekend. (One 2 year old ice cream loving grandchild was visiting). This unit was so easy to use, and only 3 pieces. I can't recommend this enough. The only issue is that the recipes are in metric-mil's and grams. Fortunately my measuring cup has cup measurements on one side and mil's on the other and I have a small kitchen scale that calculates either ounces or grams, so we figured it out pretty quick. Granddaughter loved watching it through the clear lid. It's quiet,quick, and I can tell I'll be using it a lot. Highly recommend this one if you're looking for a smaller electric ice cream maker.

 The machine stops working after a few minutes. This requires letting the machine cool down, so we have to throw all the products we used to make the ice cream into the trash, freeze the bowl again and wait a whole day. We haven't been able to make ice cream even once. We very much regret buying this machine. For us, this is a waste of money.
