After being gifted a bit of Amazon Gift Card credit, I wanted to find a way to be resourceful and use those funds to purchase groceries for myself. Thankfully, Instacart Gift Cards are eligible for purchase using Amazon credit, which I did!

I was able to determine an exact amount for the card value, with the total a little over $100. Using my own email as the recipient, I had the card delivered to me. Unlike other "instant" gift card purchases I have made on Amazon, this one took a bit longer to arrive, but was in my inbox in just a little over 4 hours— not ideal or reliable for an immediate solution.

ADDITIONAL HELPFUL NOTES:
• When using an Instacart gift card from Amazon, the process is not the most intuitive, as the gift card comes as a promo / credit code that must be entered into the "PROMO" code section on the Instacart website or app— enter the code in the promo section as you will not be able to find a "gift card" section.
• When making a transaction using credit, always verify that Instacart is using your credit as the method of purchase for every transaction. In the 3 transactions I made with gift credit on my account, the payment method did NOT automatically default to my gift balance and would have made the entire purchase from my card on file had I not manually changed it each time.
• Finally, Instacart will place an additional hold on a purchase above the purchase amount, including purchases made with Instacart credit. Just be aware that even if your total purchase amount is below your gift card credit, you may need to provide an additional payment method for a temporary hold that will be released after purchase.

I have ordered this many times and it has always given me the code without issue. Once ordered, a link will be emailed to the email provided, which will send you to the vcdelivery website, then you will copy and paste the code into the box on the “Track credits and promos” section of the Instacart app/website.
