These earbuds check all the boxes for what I was looking for in earbuds.
As of this review I have owned and used them for about 11 months now.
The main reason I bought these is because I was looking for a pair of earbuds with ACTUAL decent batteries in them. If you're looking for good battery life in a small form factor, these are the ones without a doubt. Most earbuds I've either had or looked at don't stand up to whatever their product description claims, these do though. I can listen to music for hours on end (I think the longest I've used them for is about 8ish hours for reference). Then on top of the earbud batteries themselves being good, the charging case battery is also really good. I can go weeks without charging the case (I don't use them heavily daily). The attached USB cable is a little awkward, but I really like it in the long run. It's definitely better than having to use a separate cord to charge. Plus the wireless charging is nice, I can just drop them on a wireless charger to pick up some juice from time to time. With such a decent battery life I have high hopes for the longevity of these earbuds. If they handle hours and hours of playtime now, when the battery life inevitably degrades, they should still be usable for a longer time.
I'm a fan of the loop around the ear for earbuds (might not be your thing). They definitely stay in my ears for everything I do (sitting at my desk, doing yard work, house chores, laying in bed). For me they're absolutely comfortable. I'd say I have a pretty normal ear, so there's not any uncomfortable pinching or rubbing with the ear loops for me. I do have some sensory sensitivity but I'm able to stop consciously being aware of these in my ear whenever I use them, which is nice. I don't do anything incredibly active though, so I can't speak to their ability to stay in during lots of vigorous movement.
I had never heard of JLab before these, but I'm happy to see that these seem to be thoughtfully designed with actual function in mind.
No complaints with the sounds quality. They're pretty balanced. Bass definitely doesn't drown out the mids or highs. No "tinny" sound to them. I've used some cheap earbuds before and these definitely do not have a cheap sound to them. I don't know that I'd produce music with them, but they definitely have a very clean satisfying sound.
On to the other parts of the earbuds that weren't really selling points for me, but that I like nonetheless. The touch controls are decent, take a little getting used to, but definitely decent. I didn't expect much from the noise cancelling but it works pretty well. I use them when I mow, with noise cancelling enabled, and it really helps cut the noise out (and I can still hear my music well!). I didn't think I'd like the pause on removal from ear feature but have found it is pretty useful, especially at work when someone comes in to talk to me. The "be aware" audio passthrough works pretty well too but I rarely use it. I don't use them for calls often but I haven't gotten any complaints about the mic when I have.
Overall a great buy, very satisfied with these.

Details matter
BLUF: Great ear buds. Would be 5 stars if they had better bass.I bought jLabs gen 2 and Skullcandy Push Active to compare the two together. The match up was fearsome and it's a really tough call to say which is better, which is why the details matter. If you want straight out of the box good, jLabs is the winner. Be sure to test the different buds it comes with though, they definitely make a difference in sound quality. For me, the large buds and bass boost EQ brings out the sound quality I enjoy most. Jlabs fit very well, I lift weights and never once thought they were going to fall out during a strong push or running. I also didn't feel them jiggle much.How they compared to each other:Sound quality - jLabs are definitely louder however cannot produce the deep bass like Skullcandy. I tried to customize my own sound profile but I don't understand the difference between each channel to do so properly. However, that is a personal opinion as I like to feel my ear drum rumble during a good jam. Skullcandy conducts a hearing test through their app and automatically builds a profile based on that information. If jLabs did that, jLabs would win every time in my book.Noise canceling and awareness - jLabs has the ability to play louder and fit better (for me) than Skullcandy, so jLabs is better at noise canceling. Jlabs is also better for awareness. They do a good job amplifying the sounds around you.Fit and use when working out - I feel like jLabs won here. I scrunch my face when lifting, jLabs did not feel like they were falling out when doing so. Skullcandy did, which then changes how they sound and distracting me during my sets.Functionality - Again, I have to give it to jLabs. They make it easy to change the volume and skip a song right from the buds. The double edge sword though, the touch controls are super sensitive and I accidentally lower or raise the volume sometimes when whipping sweat from my head.Overall - While I have a bias opinion for Skullcandy, I cannot say I'm going to keep them. The only thing I would change about jLabs gen2 is its ability to produce those deep base sounds. Also, jLabs gen2 come with 6 pairs of ear buds, large tall - small with a set of foam buds. That's pretty cool.
