I've never used a peel before, so this was my first go at one. I didn't know what to expect, but it ended up being a good experience. Because I shave my head, I often get ingrown hairs and I'm constantly trying to find ways to keep the ol' dome looking and feeling nice. I realize this peel is meant for faces, but bottom line up front: it works great for shaved heads too.
The scent is really nice, with some clean botanical smells, nothing crazy. Spread on a thin layer, waited 10 min or so, and then it rinsed off clean in the sink, easy peasy. As it sat on my skin I could feel a slight tingly burning sensation (not at all painful, just something I noticed, but it's an acid peel, so I expected this). It didn't irritate the skin at all, no redness even after the rinse.
Afterward the skin felt VERY clean, and after several days the skin on my face and scalp was still feeling better and looking clearer than it has in quite some time. And it's nice that I only have to do this a couple times a week. Once again, Brickell delivers.
Verdict: I'll definitely be adding this to the skin care regimen. When they said "Smooth Finish" they were not lying!
