When this thing works, it does what it's meant to do: keep an eye on the baby. But when it doesn't work, it is almost useless. We are currently using it as a glorified thermometer.

Customer service is super responsive, but don't confuse responsive with "good" customer service. They do their best to drag things out. Case in point, I was on the verge of the 1 year warranty mark, when I contacted them with an issue to my unit. The unit would just not power up.

I contacted customer service, and they do all these needless checks, (did you update the app, did you change original plug, did you restart wif, on and on and on). This led to countless back and forth emails, and by the time we ran thru all their checks, Cubo tried to get out of their warranty by saying that my warranty has run out.

After much haggling, and trying to appeal to their human side, they promised a one time courtesy replacement. I was so relieved, only the joke was on me. The courtesy replacement unit was a faulty one (whether they do that on purpose is anybody's guess). It broke in 3 months. This time I get a connection is unstable error. I ended up giving up and just ordered a simple camera.

If you are on the fence whether or not to buy this, look at other reviews that have complaints on them, trust those reviews. The failure rate of these units is incredibly high. It starts off as a great product, but then most likely fails, and just ends up being a waste. At best, you'll end up with a $200+ thermometer.

I really love our Cubo baby monitor. We decided to purchase this lesser known on Prime Day after researching other video (phone operated and standalone) monitors without finding one we really liked due to up front cost, glitches, or repeated subscription cost..

My favorite features have been the face/rollover detection and room temperature & humidity monitoring.
When our son started rolling over, he would sometimes go face down. Cubo would send out a chirp so we could ensure his head was turned to the side for air each time. It gave me piece of mind.
The temperature monitoring will let us know when the room gets too cold or hot and (we live in Florida) in our house the room can randomly run hot at odd hours, even at 3am. It is nice knowing the baby won't overheat.

There had been a time or two when we had to close and reopen the app to get the monitor to work but it quickly resumed functionality. The team recently pushed out an update that should help with this.

Recently (March or April 2021), Cubo interacting with Echo was activated so we can now view the baby on Echo like the non-phone baby monitors.

We decided to go with Cubo over other similar brands, in spite of it being from a newer smaller company, because of the value it offers for the price.
- it does NOT have issues shutting of when a phone screen is locked (some other brands have this glitch and I hate the thought if not knowing my baby was in distress due to a software bug)
- you have access to baby's videos for 18 hours without paying a dime
- family members in other states can be given permissions and see baby too (you can also control what access they have like turning off sound)
-it uses face detection and nothing needs to attach to the baby
- you can turn on audio only in the app to hear baby as you browse, just like classic audio only monitors without the secondary unit or batteries
-very responsive support team. Any time I have a question (like how to turn on sound only monitoring or what to do if there is an error connecting to echo) their team responds within hours

The monitor works well, staff is responsive, and my mind is at ease when using this monitor. Our baby is too small to get out of bed but when he does, I look forward to expanding the monitored area to make sure he doesn't get into trouble.

Some mention connectivity issues but this could be their wifi. Our router is located central to the home and that may be why we do not have many issues in this area.

My favorite features have been the face/rollover detection and room temperature & humidity monitoring.
When our son started rolling over, he would sometimes go face down. Cubo would send out a chirp so we could ensure his head was turned to the side for air each time. It gave me piece of mind.
The temperature monitoring will let us know when the room gets too cold or hot and (we live in Florida) in our house the room can randomly run hot at odd hours, even at 3am. It is nice knowing the baby won't overheat.

There had been a time or two when we had to close and reopen the app to get the monitor to work but it quickly resumed functionality. The team recently pushed out an update that should help with this.

Recently (March or April 2021), Cubo interacting with Echo was activated so we can now view the baby on Echo like the non-phone baby monitors.

We decided to go with Cubo over other similar brands, in spite of it being from a newer smaller company, because of the value it offers for the price.
- it does NOT have issues shutting of when a phone screen is locked (some other brands have this glitch and I hate the thought if not knowing my baby was in distress due to a software bug)
- you have access to baby's videos for 18 hours without paying a dime
- family members in other states can be given permissions and see baby too (you can also control what access they have like turning off sound)
-it uses face detection and nothing needs to attach to the baby
- you can turn on audio only in the app to hear baby as you browse, just like classic audio only monitors without the secondary unit or batteries
-very responsive support team. Any time I have a question (like how to turn on sound only monitoring or what to do if there is an error connecting to echo) their team responds within hours

The monitor works well, staff is responsive, and my mind is at ease when using this monitor. Our baby is too small to get out of bed but when he does, I look forward to expanding the monitored area to make sure he doesn't get into trouble.

Some mention connectivity issues but this could be their wifi. Our router is located central to the home and that may be why we do not have many issues in this area.

This was a late addition to the baby gear we use and boy was it a very nice addition. Prior to the Cubo we had a standard wifi camera and thought that was sufficient since that was all we used for our first child. But the Cubo has really made our lives easier and is also a joy to use.

Pros:
+ Built in temperature reading with notifications
+ Built in Humidity reading with notifications
+ Built in night light with just the right amount of light
+ Adjustable camera angle
+ Very well designed stand that is also aesthetically pleasing
+ Automatic daily pictures of our cutie
+ Love the Cry Detection and other smart detect features

Cons:
- Only one year of free Cubo Ai Care Premium at this premium price
- the arm on the stand holding the camera could have come in two pieces so I could make it shorter and center the camera better above a bassinet
- cry detection could be limited to only when baby is detected as it goes off as long as baby is near by but I could see a use to it going off even then.

The only cons I could think of are definitely nit picks as the product works great. This is definitely a luxury baby product but if you can afford it, this is one of the ones I would recommend without turning us into paranoid parents.

I received the Cubo AI Plus monitor last week and I've set it up for about a week. In this week I could say it is a pretty good baby monitor.

The first thing is the monitoring function is really fantastic. No matter it's in daylight mode or night vision mode, the resolution is very clear. We can see our baby on our phone or tablet through the app.

Secondly, the installation is pretty easy. The manual is easy to follow, so you don’t need to find the installation guide video on YouTube. In addition, In the package Cubo AI includes 3 different bases so you can put it on the floor, attach it on your crib, or put it on the desk.

The mobile app is also great. Just as same as the installation, the app is also easy to setup and pairs with device with a minute. The app also provides many features. For me, the most important feature is the alert. My daughter loves to sleep on her stomach. Cubo AI will send alert to my phone when it detects the baby rolls and/or something covers the baby's face. Cubo AI even records a short clip when the event happens. When something happens, we just need to check the app and we could know the situation at a glance.

Besides the alert, the app also provides several cool features such as composing several pictures of the baby every day, checking the temperature and humidity, and sleep analysis. My little girl also loves the design of the monitor. She likes birds!

Overall, I would say this is an awesome product. It deserves a 5-star review!
